Here are some recent snaps from our £100 million investment project to upgrade and expand Bristol’s water recycling centre in Avonmouth 📸 The five-year project, which got under way last year, will allow a greater volume of sewage to be treated, while also protecting the environment by improving the quality of treated wastewater released into the Severn Estuary. Our new Avonmouth Area Community Fund has also been created as part of the Wessex Water Foundation to support projects that aim to improve the lives of people in the local area. Seven groups have recently been awarded grants totalling £35,000, including: • £10,000 to Home-Start Bristol and South Gloucestershire so they can continue to run their ‘Mums in Mind’ group • £5,000 towards self-improvement and well-being activities for locals at Shirehampton Methodist Church • £3,500 towards the running of an after-school youth club at Avonmouth Community Centre Applications for the next round of funding will open in July 2025. More than 1,100 customers visited our sites around the region across 13 individual events 🤯 It was a wonderful opportunity to open some of our water recycling centre sites to the public and show people what really happens after they flush the loo! A big shout out to all our knowledgeable employees who helped run the tours and answered all our customers' questions ⭐ ✨Here are some photo highlights from the past few months 👇

Here’s the latest look at our water resource position!💧 Last month was the wettest September on record in parts of the region, and our reservoirs and groundwater levels are healthy as a result. Despite last month’s rain, it’s still important to remember that water is a precious resource. Let’s continue to save water where we can as we head into the cooler months. No matter the weather, saving water at home helps improve the natural environment and secure future water supplies, as well as keeping those utility bills down.

And that's a wrap! 🌈 We had the most wonderful summer at Chippenham Pride, Bristol Pride and Taunton Pride. As well as attending the parades and celebrating love, we provided water to our wonderful Pride-goers! Our water refill points were used by nearly 500 people, keeping everyone hydrated while reducing the amount of single-use plastics. It's always a pleasure to support these events. Thank you to everyone involved ❤️ #Pride2024 #Pride
