I am excited to share a video summarizing our paper on CRISPR-associated transposons (CAST) at the Novo Nordisk Foundation Center for Protein Research, University of Copenhagen at the Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences, UCPH. Through cryo-EM, biochemical, and genetic approaches, we unraveled the conformational assembly landscape of V-K CAST system. This information has allowed us to design variants with higher RNA-guided integration activity. We hope that this research may help to develop tools for genome editing that allow the precise insertion of large DNAs. Congrats to the team, especially to Francisco Tenjo-Castaño and Pablo Mesa. Using network-community analysis methods, this study explored the genetic complexity of cellular senescence by identifying key genes associated with this specific cellular state. The research utilized network-based strategies such as eigenvector centrality feature selection and community detection to analyze transcriptional profiles in injured muscle tissue of mice.
