This is the type of R&D that has disappeared from most sport brands- too many whom have a climate of creative avoidance - whenever it affects the Biz quarterly’s, and operate Creative systems that causes team members to shy away from ‘new and unknown’ as it can punish them by an association to possible failures, or by having R&D expenses deployed with the resulting sales&profits delayed too many quarters, as that can cost the C Suite their roles! Decathlon is bringing a plethora of ‘new’ - ‘evolution and revolution’ across multiple sport categories and respectfully, at much better pricing than others! Decathlon have top leadership who are comfortable leaning into innovative, delivering well priced design and solid engineering - and in this economy ‘Bold’ is needed, not blaming workers performance for working remotely ! ! As I look back to recap on this year’s Eurobike 2024: I could go into macroeconomics and industry obstacles, BUT, I won’t. I want to share something that is part of my “KISS” (𝗞𝗲𝗲𝗽 𝗜𝘁 𝗦𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗽𝗶𝗱) 𝗺𝗼𝗱𝘂𝘀 𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗶. 𝗜 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗯𝗶𝗸𝗲 𝘁𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗮 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗼𝗻𝗹𝘆 𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘁𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝘄𝗮𝘀 𝘄𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮 𝗵𝗲𝗹𝗺𝗲𝘁 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝗜 𝘄𝗮𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲. As I am in the 𝗦𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘀’ 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝘁𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗚𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘀𝘂𝗹𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗯𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀, one thing that I would like to see Bike Festival organizers 𝘀𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁 “𝘀𝗮𝗳𝗲𝘁𝘆” 𝗶𝗻 𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗹 - 𝗔𝗡𝗗 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗮𝗰𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝘀𝘂𝗯-𝘀𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿. In addition, 𝗯𝗶𝗸𝗲 𝗯𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗱𝘀 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘂𝗽 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗻𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗻𝗲𝘅𝘁 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗮𝗰𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗼𝗿𝘆 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁𝘀 like helmets and goggles, so that: 1) The bike testers are safe at the Festival 2) There is cross promotion between products and  3) We send a message to the public that 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗶𝗻𝗱𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘆 𝘂𝗽𝗵𝗼𝗹𝗱𝘀 𝘀𝗮𝗳𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁 𝗔𝗟𝗪𝗔𝗬𝗦 Seems like a very simple change to implement, right?
