Let's talk recruitment fraud..... I had this happen to one of my friends recently. She's been a stay at home mom for several years and when trying to get back into the work force she applied for a position online, had an interview via text, and was asked personal identification information before she was given an offer. I told her no no no, those are all red flags and likely a scam (which is was)! So, for those of you looking for a new opportunity or getting back into the workforce please be cautious of potential recruitment fraud. -If you are interested in exploring opportunities with a certain company go directly to their Careers Page. - A legitimate company will never ask you to pay a fee or download software as part of the interview process. - Interviews should be done in person or by video. - No one should ask for your personal banking information until you have signed an offer of employment and completed onboarding paperwork that is provided by an HR team. - Legitimate emails from an HR or hiring team will never originate from gmail.com, yahoo.com, hotmail.com or other commercial email service. Warning About Potential Recruitment Scam! I recently received a concerning message from Vuyiseka Gebe about what appears to be a recruitment scam targeting job seekers on LinkedIn. Here are the details: Vuyiseka was contacted by someone claiming to be Samantha Naidoo from a company called Executive Recruitment Group (ER Group) about a job opportunity. As part of the recruitment process, Vuyiseka was told she needed to pay R480 for a "reference check" to a third-party company called Quest Red Admin. After paying the fee, Samantha and Quest Red Admin stopped responding to emails and calls from Vuyiseka. The email address used was samantha@ergroupza.co.za. This has all the hallmarks of a common employment scam where job seekers are tricked into paying upfront fees to fraudulent recruitment agents or companies through deception. I would urge everyone to be very cautious about any job opportunity that requires paying upfront fees, especially to unknown third parties. Never send money unless you have thoroughly vetted the company and confirmed the legitimacy of any requests for payment. Legitimate employers and recruiters should not ask for payment during the hiring process. If you suspect a scam, cease communication immediately and report it to local authorities. Now a days many consultancy are faking about jobs . If you apply also there will be never a reply and some are like have to give money to appear for interview.So Hopeless.Foreign consultancy are like urgent hiring then when you apply , they ask for documents and then at last kindly pay 18k for documents varification/ visa processing, it will be guaranteed refunding if you are not get selected.More importantly , it will be always a last day to deposit money , not before that .After taking money , who cares , about fake documents , there can fake legal papers too. Kindly stop giving fake hopes to candidates and stop asking money before getting a job. We should also beware of fraud companies.
