Cruffins as big as people’s heads!!! IFE, ExCeL London It was good to see a few of our customers last week at this great food industry event. This event is getting bigger and bigger each year. Cruffins as big as people’s heads, whatever a cruffin is, unfortunately I didn’t get the chance to taste a one of these, but they looked amazing. There was some really nice food on display and to sample, which both me and Ryan did throughout the days that we attended. In the middle of the hall, which did break up the different industries, was a huge pub event, with beers and spirits as well as other services for pub industry. Which I can’t remember from last year, and that is not because I was too drunk, but it was good to meet some of these small (and large) breweries as we do now export and import alcohol. The event must have been over subscribed as there where a few industries out of sync, a burger seller in the machinery department and one of our ice cream customers in the advice part of the exhibition, but I guess as things get more popular there will be a few discrepancies. Overall, a great turnout, we initially went to visit and support our customers and it was really nice to speak to people in person. One of our customers said, everything we have on this stall was imported by NETS, we even provided the vehicle to take all of there goods to the event. Sometimes, and I know it shouldn’t, but you don’t realise how much you do help businesses achieve their goals, just by providing the best service you can give, and it was nice to get that amazing feedback. When you are in the office and on the telephone, it is hard to get the intensity of the appreciation that some people have for what you do, and it is quite overwhelming when people rave about you. Our whole team worked so hard to help some of the exhibitors. We are looking forward to next years event and helping even more customers, especially with our new temperature controlled European groupage service. #ife #foodindustry

#wineparisvinexpo a few thoughts about the fair. 1- the location is perfect compared to the other big wine events. Prowein specifically, being a great place, is catastrophic for all other aspects. In Paris, accommodation is perfect, easy and cheap in comparison. The transportation is easy and efficient. The fair doesn’t impact in any way the usual business of the city. As opposed to Prowein, which overwhelms every aspects of the city. 2- the organisation of the pavillons is getting better, even though I noticed some issue in advertising the Austrian and German winemakers for example. 3- the scanning of entry pass and the cloakroom need improvement. The personal was not always very kind and that is an issue. 4- the website is a pain and the app has huge shortcomings (like impossible to find the location of an exhibitor in the app). And not possible to read the messages (as far as I have checked). 5- more cooperation could be done to promote the gastronomy. We still lack food trucks of a bit fancier food counters (though Paul is quite acceptable). I still think the Mac Donald’s located within the Expo Parc is a shame. Overall the fair was a success, I hope it develops further and stay where it is located. See you soon Wine Paris.

This event saw participation from over 14,000 trade visitors across 60 countries, providing a platform for exhibitors worldwide to showcase their brands.
