We're thrilled to share our latest research article "Four-Terminal Perovskite-CdSeTe Tandem Solar Cells: From 25% toward 30% Power Conversion Efficiency and Beyond" achieving remarkable progress in power conversion efficiency. By combining a tunable wide-bandgap perovskite cell with a commercially established narrow-bandgap cadmium selenium telluride (CdSeTe) cell, we've successfully demonstrated a 4-T tandem device architecture with ≈25% efficiency. This innovative approach not only simplifies fabrication but also paves the way for improving tandem efficiency to over 30%. Our study highlights the crucial role of transparent back contacts and optimized perovskite absorber bandgaps in enhancing performance. Are you looking for opportunities in the light of changes to the electricity grid? Flexibility on the supply side as well as of the demand is crucial to integrate renewable power generation while maintaining a stable frequency in the electricity grid and therefore power supply. I had the pleasure to attend the conference ACDC tech 2024 organized by the Latvian distribution network operator Sadales tīkls. As Karīna Viskuba pointed out to allow flexibility of the demand energy storage solutions , but also control systems have to be integrated. Here I was pleased to see the technical solutions example of the German program NEW 4.0. It is a collection of 20 large scale demonstrators (starting from battery storage to Power-to-X) in the federal state of Schleswig-Holstein und the city Hamburg. The region combines high wind generation capacities with the high demand of the city of Hamburg to show that these can be unified in real life. In alignment with this call German-Baltic Chamber of Commerce in Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania (AHK) will organize a conference and corresponding B2B meetings on the topic of energy infrastructure including energy storage. The conference will be held in Tallinn on Oct 8 and accompanied by meetings between German companies and prospective partners in Estonia and Latvia. #ACDCTech2024 #renewables #grid #bess #PartnerWorldwide

Fraunhofer-Institut für Solare Energiesysteme ISE Topcon solar cell in the M10 format with 24 per cent efficiency Topcon solar modules are increasingly replacing Perc technology. The Fraunhofer Institute for Solar Energy Systems ISE announced that it was the first European research institute to switch to large-area M10 silicon wafers. This square wafer format with edge lengths of 182 millimeters enables higher cell efficiency. The Fraunhofer ISE achieved an efficiency of 24 percent for its Topcon solar cells.
