The National Lottery Community Fund enables us to deliver a whole range of support services across the Black Country through our partnership working. The work we do makes a difference and we are happy that we can help people to create positive change in their lives. Through our person-centred approach, we are able to support people to make the small changes which lead to big impact. With our holistic employability support hundreds of people are also going on to achieve their goals and aspirations, entering or re-entering work and/or education and training. We also know that for most people, being able to find work or increase their chances of gaining sustainable employment is crucial in helping them build independent, stable lives. Since 2021 The National Lottery Community Fund has enabled us to collaborate on projects which supported 1,734 Black Country Residents, with approximately 1 in 3 people supported moving into training or employment, and over a thousand people increasing their self-esteem, confidence, wellbeing and motivation. https://lnkd.in/dwM4tJ54

Over the last three months, £122 million of vital National Lottery funding has been awarded to over 2,500 charities and community groups in England. The funding will be used across England by local projects to make a real difference in their community. From just under £500 to help a Brownies group in Oldham access new technology, to over £1.5 million to accelerate the growth of health and wellbeing support services in Hillingdon, London. With people across England celebrating Black History Month this October, last year saw £45m (11% of total funding value) awarded to projects supporting Black, African, and Caribbean communities. Emma Corrigan, England Director at The National Lottery Community Fund: “We’re delighted that groups across the country are using our funding to strengthen communities and improve lives. Their passion, creativity and commitment are making a real difference, and this deserves recognition.” Find out about the projects celebrating today. https://ow.ly/P98k50PXbic
