Feeling inspired and empowered after attending Tech Talks: Wine Sips last night. We had the pleasure of hearing from an amazing panel of women sharing their challenges and successes whilst navigating the corporate world. Key takeaways ✨ Imposter syndrome is common: It's important to recognise that everyone experiences self-doubt at times. Don't let it hold you back. ✨ Own your achievements: Celebrate your successes, no matter how small. Keep a record of your accomplishments to remind yourself of your capabilities. ✨ Seek a mentor: A mentor can provide guidance, support, and invaluable insights. Look for someone who shares your values and has experience in your field. ✨ Pay it forward: Be a mentor to others and help them on their journey. ✨ Build a strong network: Surround yourself with supportive people who believe in you. Attend industry events, join professional organisations, and connect with like-minded individuals. ✨ Embrace continuous learning: Stay up-to-date on industry trends and develop new skills. ✨ Negotiate confidently: Know your worth and don't be afraid to ask for what you deserve. Shoutout to Anna Carey for organising such an inspiring event and a big thank you to the team at Tyro Payments for hosting us in their stunning office. #GIRLCODE #WomenInTech #TechTalks #WIT

We had another mentorship session last Friday. It was part of the Women's Day celebration we had in March and I was quite inspired by the ladies that spoke with us. Some of the tips I took from the session are: 1. To know where I want to find myself. Goal setting has been spoken about times without number. Envisioning where you want to be and the kind of company you want to work with helps You have to see it to have it 2. To be certified in my career especially when it comes to having tech skills. Knowing what you want is good but having the education and certificate to prove it is important. The same way we go to the university to study various courses to become what we want is the same energy we should give when it comes to tech skills 3. Not to be afraid to negotiate payment. It is better to speak up and not get what you want than to live with regrets and "what ifs" If you think you deserve a better pay, say it. Be bold about what you want. Nobody is going to hand it to you on a platter 4. To know my strengths and amplify them. Know what you bring to the organization you want to work with and be vocal about them 5. To share my work Let people know what you can do. 6. To surround myself with people in the role I'm trying to get into Have people that have achieved what you want to achieve. You become like the people you surround yourself with. If you surround yourself with successful people, you will be successful. The right environment is essential to your growth And an extra one, Be willing to learn. You don't know it all and you will never know it all. No man is an island of knowledge. Be teachable. Thank you to the organizers TekNexus Africa and the speakers Dara Olayebi, Abiola Eniola Aminu and Ebinehita Ihayere, PMP ® for sharing their experience into the tech space. Of course, it is always a delight having Chisom Olamigoke speak even if it is brief It is a great week🚀 #monday #stayinspired #achievinggoals #dreams #mentorship

Everyone wants to be part of the next big thing. 👀 Do you know what that next big thing is for the professional development industry? That's what I announced at the #EUStartupsSummit in Malta! It was an honor to represent female founders on such a prominent stage as I delivered my keynote on 'Leadership is a mindset, not a job title.' My excitement still hasn't worn off because, for the first time, we shared our app outside of the WaveMakers.io community with an audience of 2000+ event attendees at the summit. Within the first just a few hours, we had 113 sign-ups to test our MVP app experience. It was a pleasure connecting with so many innovators and investors who were just as thrilled about what we're building as we are.🌊 Our WaveMakers App serves as an Ally, Coach and Sponsor to young professionals, ultimately creating a larger and more diverse talent pool for leadership positions within companies. 📲 By acting as a pocket coach that understands the real-life challenges of young professionals, our MVP will craft personalized learning paths for them, helping them define and track career aspirations and development goals. A happy, skilled and confident employee is any company's biggest asset, and the WaveMakers App makes it possible! So, are you ready to be part of this future wave of EdTech AI? We have decided to open the board of WaveMakers to strategic partners, including HR leaders and pre-seed/angel investors with experience in EdTech & Data/AI. If that’s you or someone in your network, message me and we’ll schedule a call. Big thanks to EU-Startups for inviting me and all the amazing people who supported and exchanged thoughts with me on the way(ve)! Thomas Ohr Patricia Allen Ana Metz Gabriela Tussolini Rotem Carmely Shalini Singh Anastasiia Zhabrovets Hege Tollerud Nikita Thakrar Mike Butcher ✍️ Jutta Kristen Vivian Erdtsieck Anastasia Georgievskaya Cathy White... & excited to make more waves (and connections) today! 🌊🌊 #futureofwork #EdTech #leadership #diversity #EUSS2024

Founder of Testlio. Ranked #1 on G2, Testlio delivers world-class software testing results. Let's chat! 🦁❤️
Over the last two years, I've had the honor of presenting a scholarship to an inspiring female student in tech at TalTech – Tallinn University of Technology. But I've always believed that support shouldn’t stop at financial aid. It’s about building connections and supporting each other on our journeys. That's why I teamed up with my former colleague, Carina Mättikas, a personal branding wizard who’s already making waves with big companies like Bolt, Tele2, and Rademar. We both understand the struggles of starting and how scary it can feel. And how important it is to have support. Since we're both active on LinkedIn and understand the value it offers, we organized a workshop for the scholarship applicants. Whether they're already working or about to step into the job market, LinkedIn can connect them with future partners, clients, employers, mentors, and more. The workshop turned into an awesome opportunity to mingle and wasn’t just about mastering LinkedIn—it was about forming connections and building a supportive community. The takeaway is clear: LinkedIn is a powerful tool. Start using it early, share your experiences, and watch how it opens up new doors. The immediate value might not always be visible, but the long-term benefits are undeniable. Enjoy your weekend, and let’s keep celebrating and supporting each other’s successes! #womenintech #softwaretesting
