📚As educators, one of our most important tasks is to build strong, positive relationships with our students. These relationships are essential for creating a supportive and engaging learning environment, and they can have a profound impact on students' academic performance, behavior, and emotional well-being. Here are just a few reasons why building strong teacher-student relationships is so important: 1. Strong teacher-student relationships can improve academic performance by creating a positive and supportive learning environment. Students are more likely to be engaged and motivated when they feel valued and respected by their teachers. 2. Good teacher-student relationships can prevent conflicts and discipline issues. When students trust and respect their teachers, they are more likely to follow rules and guidelines, leading to a safer and more respectful learning environment. 3. Strong teacher-student relationships can also support students' emotional well-being. Students who have positive relationships with their teachers are more likely to feel supported and valued, which can improve their self-esteem and mental health. In short, building strong teacher-student relationships is essential for creating a successful and inclusive learning environment. Let's all work to foster positive, supportive relationships with our students. #teacherstudentrelationships #education #learning To learn more click the link below: https://a.co/d/cK3ueqk

Widening Participation Academic Lead, Director of Employability, Lecturer in Education, Deputy Senior Adviser in the School of Education and Lifelong Learning (EDU) at University of East Anglia (UEA)
Call out to any secondary school teachers who might see this post. One of our degree students is doing some research on the transition from primary school to high/secondary school. She's interested in hearing from anyone who has taught Year 7 upwards. Please see her introduction below (all ethical participant information is in the form). Thank you. I am a third-year student studying Education at the University of East Anglia who is currently looking for secondary school educators to participate in an online survey for my dissertation research. I am looking for participants who would be willing to spend approximately 15-25 minutes discussing their perspectives on how the transition from primary school to secondary school can impact the identity and self-esteem of students. All participant information can be found at the beginning of the survey, and participation is not mandatory even after you begin filling out your answers; you can stop at any time. Also, please note that this survey will be kept anonymous and all efforts have been made to maintain that anonymity throughout. If you would be interested in completing this survey, please click on the following link which will take you to the Microsoft Form: https://lnkd.in/e3aN6uTY Thank you so much for the time you have taken to read this post.

'Physical Literacy' as a phrase or couple of words have been making increasing noise for nearly a year. The reality is that many may still not fully understand what it is, and it continues to be misinterpreted within the physical activity world and wider. Being able to aid and understand what may impact someones relationship with movement and physical activity throughout life will enable us who are working in the sector to ensure our offers have real value for individuals journeys, and not promise it as a destination. If you have some time, please have a watch of the video below 😍 https://lnkd.in/e32-VBV6
