#Pentraxin-3 (PTX-3), a long pentraxin released from #endothelial cells in response to #inflammatory stimuli, is an promising accurate #biomarker of pulmonary hypertension (PH) risk in subjects with #systemic #sclerosis (SSc), with the lowest values of PTX-3 in subjects at low risk for PH. PTX-3 also differentiated subjects with SSc with PH due to disease of the left side of the heart from those with PH related to pulmonary arterial hypertension or interstitial #lung disease. 🔗https://lnkd.in/dc45JC5G

"*Blood in urine* (known as *hematuria*) is an important finding in a urine sample that can indicate a variety of underlying health issues. The presence of blood in the urine can range from microscopic (not visible to the naked eye) to gross (visible as a red or pink discoloration of the urine). Hematuria can be caused by many factors, including *urinary tract infections (UTIs)*, *kidney stones*, *bladder or kidney infections*, *trauma*, or more serious conditions like *bladder cancer* or *kidney disease*. It's crucial to investigate the cause of blood in the urine through additional tests, such as *urinalysis*, *ultrasound*, or *CT scans*, to determine the exact source and appropriate treatment. If you notice blood in your urine or are advised to undergo a test that shows hematuria, it’s important not to ignore it. Early detection and treatment of the underlying cause can help prevent complications and ensure better health outcomes. #BloodInUrine #Hematuria #UrinaryTractInfection #KidneyStones #BladderHealth #UrineAnalysis #HealthAwareness #MedicalTesting #KidneyCare"
