Access to mental health support varies wildly across the US, with states like Wyoming reporting almost one in four adults with mental illness are uninsured. And even for those with insurance, the wait to see a mental health professional takes an average of 2-3 months. Woebot was designed to make mental health care radically accessible, to offer people support where they are, when they need it. A mission that continues to drive us every day. Access to affordable mental health care is almost non-existent. Even in Middle America, master's level therapists are charging $200 per hour for 50 minute visits and few professionals take insurance, making individual psychotherapy available to only a few. #crisis #mentalhealth #therapy #healthequity

Top thing on my mind this morning: This article spoke to me for two reasons: 1) What is or what isn't covered as preventative under insurance is as complicated as a physics equation. It shouldn't be. 2) Any questions or screening regarding mental health SHOULD BE COVERED AT 100%. FULL STOP. https://lnkd.in/gPZJhbUy
