How are we addressing significant headwinds, like rising health care costs and provider shortages? What’s our outlook on trends like telehealth, AI and value-based care models? Our SVP and Head of Diversified Businesses Sonny Goyal sat down on Becker's Healthcare podcast to discuss all that and more. He’ll continue the conversation this November at the Payer’s Issues Roundtable – but for now, you can tune in here: https://lnkd.in/etjw7ujj
Great stuff Sonny Goyal! This sounds like a must-listen episode! The intersection of rising healthcare costs, provider shortages, and the integration of telehealth, AI, and value-based care models is crucial for the future of healthcare. I'm particularly interested in how AI can alleviate some of these challenges. Thanks for sharing!
I really enjoyed the insights here Sonny Goyal and also your session during AHIP last month. VBC is here to stay and seeing industry leaders like you talking about using Responsible AI to address some of the challenges is exciting. Thanks!

3moThanks for sharing the your thoughts and experiences Sonny Goyal One of the staggering costs of healthcare that I observed last couple years - I lost about 5 friends to cancer and the last few weeks of their life spent in ICU and that costed more than a million per person. It's hard to see things this way, but when we think of population, if every death costs a million or more in last few weeks of care in a hospital, the economic burden is more and more piling on living. Since this care is high-touch and many of them have multiple co-morbidities, the tech, AI and any remote tools may not help. Without controlling the end stage costs, I am not sure, how could we dig out of the cost swamp we are in. I run a small company and our premiums are compounding 20% or more year over year. It's becoming significant portion of total compensation.
