We've reached the height of summer, the environmental conditions can be challenging. A few tips to protect your heart from high temperatures: · Dress for the heat. Wear lightweight, light-colored clothes made of breathable fabrics. · Stay sun safe. Apply a water-resistant sunscreen 30 minutes before you get outside, and reapply every two hours. Hat and UV-blocking sunglasses can also help. · Hydrate. Remember to drink water regularly, especially if you exercise. Avoid caffeinated or alcoholic beverages. · Take regular breaks. Find some shade or a cool place, catch your breath and hydrate.
