Mental Health Communicator. ┃ Founder of Therapy Trust Collective ┃ Copywriter, Clinician, Consultant. ┃ Clinician Advocate.
What's the most important function of a Chief Clinical Officer in a mental health organization? Here's a hint: It's not audits, compliance, policy, or even research. A CCO's most important job is to invest in and maintain the trust they have with their therapist employees. That means: - Getting to know them - Advocating for their needs as individuals - Being the counterbalance to the rest of the C Suite when financial concerns threaten their clients' best interests - Making changes based on their frank feedback - Communicating clearly and being available for input For most therapists, the ideal work situation is a warm, close, professional, and productive group practice (or individual private practices that work in close proximity) + a trusted supervisor/mentor to learn from. A big mental health tech company is never going to 100% feel like that... but if you want to retain therapists, at the bare minimum, your CCO should be in the weeds, leading by example and encouraging that kind of collegial camaraderie. This is mental health- do I really have to say it? It's about relationships. #mentalhealth #retention #therapy

Healthcare Leader | Behavioral Health Patient Navigator | Family Interventionist | Recovery Advocate
Within a business organization, a behavioral health navigator is usually part of an employee assistance program or human resources department. With a patient navigator in place to assist your staff, your HR director is freed up from the time consuming (and sometimes stressful) job of helping an individual find the right behavioral treatment they need. HR departments are often not trained or experienced in assisting individuals with mental health issues, which also often means employees are simply not getting the right care. Together we can do better. Simply said? The cost of an organization doing nothing for their employees is higher than investing in evidence-based prevention and help finding the individual the right treatments. Contact me if you'd like to chat about how I can help your organization. https://lnkd.in/ebsG3EgE #patientnavigation

Growth AE Championing Mental Well-being by Uniting Thriveworks with Healthcare and Insurance Systems | Paving the Way for Accessible Counseling and Psychiatry for All
Handing patients a business card for a therapist or psychiatrist is a well-intended gesture, but we've seen time and again that it simply doesn't work. The act of asking for help, especially in the context of mental health, is riddled with personal, professional, and cultural barriers that can feel insurmountable. That's why Thriveworks is committed to reimagining the referral process. We believe in the power of human connection and the importance of beginning the healing journey with empathy and understanding. Our approach is unique: instead of waiting for referred patients to reach out to us, we take the first step. Our empathetic schedulers actively reach out to your referred patients, guiding them through the intake process with care and compassion. We aim to reduce the stress and fear associated with seeking help, ensuring that patients feel seen, heard, and valued as individuals, not just numbers. This proactive approach not only eases the patient into the therapeutic process but also significantly improves the likelihood of successful engagement in treatment. By removing barriers and making the first move, we're able to foster a more welcoming and supportive environment for those seeking mental health services. At Thriveworks, we're dedicated to providing an accessible, responsive, and person-centered experience for all. If you're a healthcare provider or professional seeking to refer patients for mental health services, let's collaborate to make the journey to wellness a little easier for those in need. Together, we can make a difference. #mentalhealthawareness #therapy #counseling #mentalhealthmatters #thriveworks #healthcareprofessionals #partnerships #referrals
