Yesterday, NeDeNa Netzwerk Deutschsprachiger Nachwuchskräfte had the privilege of attending an event at Porsche Digital Barcelona located in their stunning wooden office—an architectural highlight among Barcelona's innovative landscape. Porsche Digital is one of over 140 digital hubs in the city, contributing to an impressive 26,000 jobs and a turnover of €2.5 billion in 2023. With forecasts predicting growth to 36,000 jobs and €3.6 billion by 2026, it’s clear that Barcelona is a thriving tech ecosystem. In just three years, Porsche Digital has grown to over 120 employees from 27 nations. We explored the unique challenges that a traditional luxury car brand faces in the digital realm, particularly in competition with emerging e-car brands. The so-called automobile brand museums have now evolved into true experiential centers, certainly not limited to showcasing the models they have launched throughout their history. They serve as a way to engage customers and potentials, representing a significant branding activity that often transforms into a business-focused brand extension. The World of Volvo has five floors and covers approximately 22,000 square meters. In addition to being the hub for all Swedish brand companies, the Experience Center is a meeting place for everyone who lives in or visits Gothenburg. Volvo aims to establish its own business hub in the city where it all began, while also providing the hosting city with a new public venue. Meet Lasse Homann, Consultant at the Hamburg office, who is currently working in the Automotive sector at Porsche Consulting. In his role, Lasse concentrates on supporting clients in the e-mobility and battery industries, addressing their financial concerns, helping them structure their organizations, and assisting in operational planning. This also includes seamlessly integrating new e-mobility lines into existing factory networks.   What was your motivation to join Porsche Consulting? I joined Porsche Consulting after being impressed by the impact of the people I encountered during the application process. The overall application process went smoothly, but what really stood out was the drive and motivation of all Porsche Consulting employees I met. The genuine enthusiasm and spark in their eyes convinced me that I wanted to be part of this exceptional team.   What inspires you and when do you have your best ideas? I’m a team player and convinced that the best ideas emerge through collaboration with others. This is why I find my greatest inspiration in debates and sparring sessions with colleagues who have expertise in areas other than my own.
