#BoabMetals has announced the results of its Front-End Engineering & Design (FEED) Study for its 75% owned Sorby Hills Lead-Silver-Zinc Project in the Kimberley Region of Western Australia. The FEED Study augments and enhances the Sorby Hills Definitive Feasibility Study (DFS) released in January, 2023. Key Highlights:- · Project updates (excluding any change in macroeconomic assumptions have delivered an increase of +A$73M Net Cash Flow and +A$41M NPV8 compared to the DFS. · Key Base Case Project Metrics include upfront Capital Expenditure of A$264M, average C1 Cost of US$ 0.36/lb payable Lead (including silver credits), pre-tax NPV8 of A$411M, pre-tax IRR of 37%, and average annual EBITDA of A$126M. · Importantly, the net change to pre-production Capital Expenditure is limited and project pre-tax cash flows over the initial 5 years of production have improved by +A$150M providing a stronger profile to support debt financing. · Assuming current spot pricing for Lead, Silver, Exchange Rate and current Benchmark Lead Treatment and Silver Refining Charges results in an NPV8 of A$596M, pre-tax IRR of 47% and average annual EBITDA of A$160M. Key Project Updates include:- · Updated post FEED pricing for the Process Plant EPC Contract provided by @GREngineeringServices (“GRES”). · Updated mining schedule bringing forward mining of the high-grade #NortonDeposit. · Updated metal recovery and concentrate grades for the Norton Deposit based on new metallurgical testwork on core recovered during the Phase VII drilling program. · Updated pricing for the Mining and Earthworks Contracts provided on a bundled basis and based on the optimised site layout and mining schedule. · Updated tailings strategy with above-ground tailings disposal being employed for the Life of Mine as opposed to in-pit deposition previously adopted in the #DFS. Simon Noon stated “Following the DFS, we identified clear opportunities to optimise and de-risk the Project both technically and economically. Over the past year, we have pursued these opportunities in conjunction with completing Front End Engineering & Design on our Process Plant with GRES. We are pleased to present the results of our work during this period in the form of this FEED Study. We now look forward to accelerating our engagement with financiers and further advancing Sorby Hills toward a Final Investment Decision.” For full details see the link below:- https://lnkd.in/gA7zb_8h #BML #SorbyHills #lead #silver #zinc #basemetals #FEED #leadminersasx #silverstockaustralia #silverminerswa #stockstowatch #batterymetalsasx #topstocks #GRES

Hillgrove Gold-Antimony Project Pre-Feasibility Study including a Maiden Ore Reserve has been released. The PFS, is based on a Mineral Resource Estimate updated with drilling from 2022, includes a maiden Ore Reserve and outlines a technically and economically viable high-grade project demonstrating low operating costs, a significant high-margin production target profile and compelling forecasts of potential financial and economic returns. The maiden Ore Reserve of 606koz AuEq @ 6.0g/t AuEq. The average gold-equivalent production averages 80.4koz over the LOM of 7-years. The Hillgrove Project economic model is significantly derisked in comparison to its peers owing to the majority of the surface infrastructure and substantial underground development already being in place. The Board of Larvotto have now approved the immediate commencement of the Definitive Feasibility Study. The focus of the DFS will largely be on optimising metallurgical testwork to produce the maximum free gold extraction combined with optimal concentrate production and advancing permitting. Finalisation of the DFS is expected by end of CY2024, which will allow for project financing in early 2025 and project development commencing with the aim of first ore production by early 2026. Managing Director Ron Heeks commented, “Only seven months since our acquisition of the significant Hillgrove Project, Larvotto has produced a compelling pre-feasibility study that highlights the financial and near-term gold and antimony development potential of the project. This achievement has only been possible due to the considerable efforts and diligence of the Larvotto team, which includes numerous external consultants and advisors. All financial and technical objectives have been met and the capital cost of the development is low compared to a greenfields development, with much of the required surface and underground infrastructure already in place. The project’s economics are extremely robust even at the conservative prices used in our modelling. At current record spot prices for gold and antimony, these economics are exceptional. Larvotto will be bringing Australia's largest antimony project online in a rising antimony market, driven by the increasing use of antimony in solar panel production whilst production from other global producers becomes stressed, which is a trend that is expected to continue. This is the first time that gold and antimony will be targeted with equal priority at Hillgrove. Previously, the mine operated for 30 years as an antimony focussed operation and 100 years prior was a successful highgrade gold mine. The coexistence of gold and antimony within the same orezone means project value is greatly enhanced with Larvotto’s strategy to optimise project returns by extracting and processing both metals concurrently and without bias." Wood awarded key Nueva Centinela project by Antofagasta Minerals Wood, a global leader in consulting and engineering, has been awarded a major contract by Grupo Antofagasta Minerals SA (AMSA) for its #NuevaCentinela #copper project. Located in the Antofagasta region of #Chile, the contract will see Wood support AMSA in expanding the #EsperanzaSur pit. Wood has been appointed as the strategic partner for project execution and will work together with AMSA to deliver all key aspects of the project. This will include managing the construction of a new concentrating plant, #orecrushing facility, #conveyortransportation systems, sea water pipeline, #tailing disposal and facility expansions as well as other necessary infrastructure at the Centinela port. The project forms part of AMSA’s US$4.4 billion investment into the Minera Centinela facility and will support the world’s increased demand for copper – largely driven by the energy transition and the global move towards electrification. The project will position Centinela to become one of the top 15 copper mines in the world by output, producing an additional 170,000 copper equivalent tonnes per annum – enough copper to build over two million electric cars. First production is expected in 2027 with work commencing in May 2024. Jim Shaughnessy, Wood’s President of Minerals, Metals and Life Sciences, said: “Copper has a pivotal role to play in our energy transition. As the world continues to build more sustainable energy systems, a safe and secure supply of energy transition materials is critical. We’re proud to build on our existing relationship with AMSA and support increased production to meet surging demand for copper. This award underlines the strength of our mineral processing capability and experience of delivering end-to-end #EPCM services for complex, large-scale projects.” The near three year project will be supported by around 130 Wood employees with the company planning to hire around 50 new positions immediately as a result of the award. The majority of these will be on-site, with the remainder at Wood’s Santiago office. #futureofmining #miningEPCM #Chilecopper #Chilemining
