Helping Christian business Owners and CEO's build personal and professional margin for a better life and a successful business
The March C12 Business Forum in Greater Roanoke is about to begin! Courage and tackling the distinct obstacles that today's society presents to businesses and their leaders. In today's landscape, there is increasing pressure on business leaders to confront, accept, and support various social causes within their organizations. With some of these issues conflicting with the teachings of God, it's easy to feel disoriented and inundated. Our ability to impact the Kingdom diminishes when we merely mirror the world around us. Hence, it is imperative that we grasp the chance to reclaim the values that underlie current social standards through a biblical lens, fostering cohesive workplaces that align with biblical principles. Building capacity for personal, organizational, and societal change with an intentional equity focus
Most leaders WANT to create a more equitable organization, but many struggle because HOW to get there isn't always clear. One of the things my colleague Joanna Shoffner Scott, PhD and I have run into many times is the anxiety that leaders face, often caused by their perception that they need to launch a big new initiative that solves all of their equity challenges at once. But equity isn't always about the "Big Move". In fact, it rarely is. One of the reasons we designed the 6P+ Racial Equity Framework was to demystify what it means to move from commitment to action. Aligning with our values and intentions requires moving beyond DEI to sustainable change across our organization. Here's a clip where Joanna and I dig into this a little bit, and you can watch the full video on our site (the6pframework.com/about6p) to find out more. #valuesalignment #organizationaldevelopment #equity #DEI

Co-Founder - COO at IM Strategic Planning | Implementation Specialist and Business Strategist | Guiding visionary blueprints to build a solid foundation for success
When we speak of diversity and inclusion, many people assume it is confined to the workplace or educational spheres. Thank you for sharing this article Paola M Urteaga and for sharing your insight. As someone who lost my sister in a deadly crash, I am flabbergasted that women are so underrepresented in car safety tests. I personally have lasting neck and spinal injuries from a car crash in my teens in the 1990s. I truly believe that we must change the narrative and emphasize the importance of how women are represented in all aspects, especially those that may be life-threatening or altering. Ensuring equal representation in safety measures can prevent unnecessary tragedies and protect lives. By embracing diversity in every facet, from workplace policies to safety standards, we not only promote fairness but also drive innovation and progress. It's essential to recognize and address these disparities to create a safer, more inclusive world for everyone. https://lnkd.in/eW7DnJNS
Helping Burned-Out Professionals Launch Consulting Businesses or Rekindle Their Corporate Spark | Coaching & Active Business Building for Success from Day 1
An article by Forbes highlights the importance of embracing necessary changes in order to drive progress. For instance: The lack of representation of women in crash test dummies has resulted in a significant disparity in injury rates in frontal road collisions. Similarly, our current approach to training and development may be hindering us from fully reaping the benefits that diversity can bring to our organizations. In order to foster collaboration, it is essential for global leaders to not only familiarize themselves with the customs, courtesies, and business protocols of their colleagues from different countries, but also to understand the national character, management philosophies, and mindsets of individuals and apply this knowledge to how we mentor and develop our employees. It is crucial to recognize that there is no one-size-fits-all approach in life. Change starts with acknowledging the need for growth, leadership, diversity, and inclusion in the workplace. By taking proactive steps towards fostering a more inclusive and diverse environment, we can create a culture of understanding and acceptance. Embracing these values will not only benefit our employees but also lead to greater innovation and success. #InclusiveCulture #DiversityIsStrength #ProgressIsPossible https://lnkd.in/e3qAaZhF
