Our CEO Kelly Ortberg met with Philadelphia teammates last week to see and hear firsthand about their work on the V-22 Osprey and H-47 Chinook production lines. He also flew aboard the MH-139A Grey Wolf. "Our teams are rightfully proud of the work they do supporting our nation and global allies – and it was great to spend some time learning from them in the factory," said Ortberg.
It was great to join Kelly in Philadelphia last week to meet with our incredible BDS teammates supporting our V-22 Osprey, H-47 Chinook and MH-139A Grey Wolf programs. Many thanks to #TeamBoeing for sharing their expertise and reaffirming their unmatched dedication to our global customers.
Seeing leadership actively engage with teams on the production lines is always encouraging. Listening to employees and empowering them to share their ideas is key to fostering innovation and operational excellence.
The Boeing 747 project is a significant point of pride for Seattle, as the city and the surrounding Puget Sound area are home to Boeing’s primary production facilities. The 747, known as the "Queen of the Skies," revolutionized air travel when it first flew in 1969. With its massive size, iconic hump, and unmatched range, it made long-haul international flights more accessible and affordable. Boeing engineers and workers in Seattle played a crucial role in designing and building this groundbreaking aircraft, solidifying the region's reputation as a global aviation hub.
Wow, it’s awesome to see Mr. Ortberg getting a firsthand look at the incredible work happening with the V-22 Osprey, H-47 Chinook, and MH-139A Grey Wolf! It must have been an exciting visit for everyone in Philadelphia. It’s great to see the pride and dedication of our teams being recognized and celebrated. Keep up the amazing work!

Pace yourself Kelly but know that several Boeing sites have never had a Boeing CEO visit. I know LB has had only one visit by Jim M. Each visit will inspire the teams more than you know. Employee round table settings where employees are encouraged to share without management will allow you to correct the perceptions and strengthen Boeing's reputation.
A relatable boss is a good boss…excited to see the changes coming at Boeing under its new CEO and how it will turn its recent challenges in the commercial and space sectors into chances to be better!
Love this, drove by Main HQ Seattle WA. The view of the Air Crafts is the best. You get to see progress at your doorstep and you can get the tires. Also the Rails still work! TAS ;)
It's always inspiring when leaders show appreciation for the team’s efforts. Boeing
