This is how we "check" on our friends at Border Foods! The team was thrilled to present a check for $45,000 to our friends at College Possible. This organization has empowered more than 85,700 students from under-represented communities on their path to earning a college degree! A $55,000 donation was also made to Boys & Girls Clubs of Dane County AND $62,100 to Boys & Girls Club of Rockford! These Community Grants were made possible by the Taco Bell Foundation via donations from generous guests, team members and franchisees like us! #tacobell #borderfoodsfamily #livemás

It’s time to start saving your Acme receipts again! Donating your receipts to the library makes a substantial impact by helping us distribute books to the community. A collection box is located near the Checkout Desk, or you can drop receipts into our Book Drop. Receipts must be received by February 23, 2025. Here's how it works: The bottom of your Acme receipt lists a Community Cash Back amount. For every receipt you submit, we receive 5% of that total as a donation.

Near to 10,000 people in our community (9946, to be precise) have taken a pledge to donate a portion of their income to effective charities. That includes: 🔸 the 10% Pledge, 🔹 the Trial Pledge, and the Further Pledge. Emma took a 6-month trial pledge last year, and we're so pleased that it gave her the confidence to commit to giving 10% of her income until she retires! A few sobering stats from the "Household Food Insecurity in Canada, 2022"◽ report: ◾ 22.9% of households in Newfoundland and Labrador experienced some degree of food insecurity in the previous 12 months, amounting to 116,000 people. ◾ This is the highest rate in any of the ten provinces in Canada. ◾ 28.8% of children under 18 in Newfoundland and Labrador lived in food-insecure households. Since 2022, NLCU has held its annual NLCU Fall Food Drive to help support individuals and families in Newfoundland and Labrador who experience food insecurity to get the nourishment they need.
