"Patients treated by very empathic physicians reported having significantly better and clinically relevant outcomes pertaining to pain, function, and health-related quality of life over 12 months compared with patients treated by slightly empathic physicians". Interesting finding. Goes to show that being caring can potentially go a long way and doesn't really cost a lot. Good modifiable claim factor. ‼️A note for insurance companies;‼️ it is worth listening to doctors, lawyers and other allied health providers when they make recommendations for their patients to see certain providers for particular reasons and for particular interventions, to improve their function. https://lnkd.in/ghdKpXbd #itpaystocare #biopsychosocial #compensation #claim #returntowork

A lot more effort needs to go on the front end to try and prevent pain becoming chronic rather than managing chronic pain. Bit seems little research in this area. Good to see a study like this looking at how we can prevent chronic pain.
