Hello Connections!! I am excited to announce the successful completion of our intern project at MCET-Bosch Rexroth: "An Effective and Low-Cost Hybrid Model of Heater Control for Process Control Applications" Building upon our initial design, we have incorporated several key advancements to enhance the robustness and versatility of our Temperature Control System. Project Overview: Our temperature controller now operates in two distinct modes, with the flexibility of automatic or manual switching. Modes of Operation: 1. PLC Mode: Utilizing a programmable logic controller for precise control of the temperature process, It is the primary control mode. 2. Electronic Control Mode: Serving as a reliable fallback, it automatically takes over if the PLC fails, ensuring uninterrupted temperature control by using the Opamp controller. Switching Mechanism: 1. Automatic Switching: A 24V relay is energized by an input from the PLC. When the PLC is active, the relay is energized, connecting the pole to the normally open contact, enabling PLC mode. In the event of a PLC fault, the 24V supply to the relay is cut, switching the controller to Electronic Control mode. 2. Manual Switching: An on/off switch mounted on the control panel allows to manually change between PLC mode and Electronic mode. This project stands as a testament to our commitment to excellence in practical and technical electronics. I extend my heartfelt gratitude to Dr.Anthony Jesudurai S & Mr.Prakash K A for their invaluable guidance throughout the project. Special thanks to the MCET-Bosch Rexroth Centre of Excellence for Industrial Automation for their unwavering support. As an outcome of this internship project we thrived to learn so many things apart from technical. some of the learnings such as teamwork, collaboration, punctuality, commitment, time management, and task prioritization. Automotive and Aerospace Sectors create new returners programme to enhance diversity and combat skills gap for SMEs STEM Returners, the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT), ADS Group Ltd and Enginuity, have joined forces to enhance industry diversity and equality, and address the advanced manufacturing skills gap. The project aims to support STEM professionals back to the Automotive or Aerospace industry after a career break. The returners programme facilitated by STEM Returners will provide a 12-week returnship for professionals to gain real work experience and mentoring. It aims to ease their transition back to work and may lead to permanent employment with the host organisation. The project is open to all organisations in the Aero and/or Auto sector, however funding from Enginuity is available for SMEs in response to the realisation that while many small and medium-sized enterprises recognise the importance of diversity, they face unique challenges in implementing strategies to tackle this issue.

The software manages all stages of production, optimizes processes, and makes employees’ work easier. Sasho started at the company as an intern, and now he is one of our senior experts. While he was a student, he gained valuable experience working in a car factory, which greatly helps him in his work as a software specialist today. This #INWED, we're proud to introduce Vicky Caws, Head of Projects at Invar Group: "From a young age, I was always interested in how things work and became the go-to person for IT challenges at home. Innovation and new technology have always intrigued me, driving my desire to find new and improved ways of doing things. To pursue my interest in IT and logistics, I completed an industrial placement year as part of my degree with GIST; before joining an IT graduate scheme with Kuehne + Nagel (K&N). I discovered a passion for working with automation and robotics systems, which led me to Invar. Over the past five years, I have advanced in project management of warehouse systems, including automation projects. Currently, I lead a team of project managers and project engineers, overseeing the implementation of these systems and innovations. My journey has been far from linear. As a woman in a predominantly male field, I frequently encountered challenges, such as being the only woman in the room or being perceived as too 'emotional' or 'sensitive'. These obstacles were very daunting early in my career and still occur, they have however, ultimately helped me to become more resilient. Support from mentors, an open-minded approach, combined with a drive to continuously innovate and improve, have been crucial in overcoming these barriers. Events such as Women in Engineering are essential for highlighting the industry's significance and the importance of diverse perspectives. If I was to say anything to encourage the next generation it would to be stay true to yourself, it’s a great industry and more women should be encouraged to join it." 🤝Collaboration with international students🤝   We're excited to embark on this journey of partnership with students and educational institutions. Intercable Automotive Solutions collaborated with three students from Berufskolleg Tecklenburger Land (Germany). David, Joshua and Simon worked on a project together with the Advanced Quality Engineering (AQE) department - within the Laboratory they designed and created a Slow-Motion-Bending Machine for lifetime testing of cables lug connections. “The program offers a supportive environment where young professionals can learn from experienced mentors, work on real projects, and develop valuable industry specific expertise,” says Manufacturing Apprentice Anna Hutson. The Bosch Apprenticeship Program, powered by U.S. Department of Labor, provides practical skills, industry knowledge, and networking opportunities to help professionals like Anna achieve their career goals. In a ‘Bottle Cap Project’ focused on designing, manufacturing, and assembling designs, apprentices worked to advance their teamwork and problem-solving skills. “The project consisted of 3 steps. Each group started by designing, drafting, and making a parts list. Then, we got the chance to swap our designs to manufacture them. For the last step, we swapped once again to assemble the finished product. This project taught us the importance of including detailed information upfront to manufacture a part.
