I've been seeing a lot of crimp rollers on social media recently. I love this piece of equipment, and feel it's the key to a new paradigm for vineyard floor management in New Zealand and worldwide. Our newest blog post outlines our ideas about using crimpers to manage cover crops in the midrows of vineyards. It's the second part of our sustainable groundcover management programme we've just put in for industry funding. I feel it's not too lofty a goal to aim not just for carbon neutrality from our vineyards, but for carbon negativity.
