If the Nucleus Special Interest Group does not realize its potential to revolutionize King's Buildings, then join us. We aim to: - Improve all KB buildings, not just the Nucleus - Act on the King's Buildings House question: Whether or not the Edinburgh University Students' Association have the best interests of King's Buildings students? - Introduce King's Buildings-based hobby student groups independent from the conventional system (We already have King's Buildings-based academic and technical student groups under the Students' Association) - Facilitate campus-wide student events at King's Buildings - Promote the Nucleus as a student-led events centre on the weekends - Maintain a discussion space on Microsoft Teams There are more things we can do, but we have our December exams first. Then, we can get to work in January 2024. #KingsBuildings

What is National School Choice Week? 🧐 Picture this, your child finds a learning environment where they are happy and thriving. But it doesn’t quite look like the traditional school setting. National School Choice Awareness Foundation conducted a survey asking parents about their kids’ educational needs. The survey showed that only 29% say that the same school type works well for all of the children in their home. Education choice brings together different school types: 🎒 Private schools 🏠 Homeschooling 🏘️ Microschools 🏫 Public schools 🍎 Charter Schools One child might benefit from the structure of private or public school. Another might benefit from the flexibility of either homeschooling or a microschool. National School Choice Week is a national movement that partners with organizations like Cardinal to put on events celebrating education choice. We want to connect you with schools like those mentioned above. Plus we’ve included other learning experiences like martial arts, speech therapy, tutoring, and more! Please join us on January 27th, 10 am - 1 pm at the Morgantown School Fair. Register today! https://lnkd.in/dTSWAVVQ Also, check out the NSCW survey here: https://lnkd.in/gxxKdseX

Schools director at Muddy Stilettos *The UK's no.1 lifestyle site for ABC1, smart, fun-loving women who love to spend*. 3.8m reach every month. Muddy Stilettos' Best Schools Awards open Jan 24.
The Muddy Best Schools Awards 2024 have launched! I'm thrilled to let you know that The Muddy Stilettos Best Schools Awards, in partnership with Debrett's Education, have just opened and are ready for entries up until 21 March 2024. Hero Brown started the Best Schools Awards in 2022, because she felt like there was a need for an Awards that focused on on modern, innovative, forward-thinking education rather than just pure academics or schools trading on their name or past glories - values we share with Debrett's Education and our incredible panel of judges: Patrick Derham OBE, Roz Savage MBE, Emma Goldsmith, Guy Schady-Beckett, Stefan Anderson, Prof Dr Ger Graus OBE, Lucy Elphinstone, Tove Okunniwa MBE, Toby Garbett OLY, Mark Semmence, Dr Jess Wade, William Phelps, Sophie Green and Sioban O'Connor. Hero also wanted to give a strong, impartial helping hand for families trying to see past glossy school marketing brochures to choose the school where their children would be happy and thrive. Our 13 categories have been chosen to really test a school's brilliance and innovation in areas that parents (like me) care about including pastoral care, passionate sports provision, creative learning, and a dynamic arts programme. This year we've added three new categories - Best Learning Support, Prepared for Life (Sixth Form) and Most Inclusive School. Parents: watch this space, and we'll let you know the Highly Commendeds, Finalists and Winners in due course! Schools: you can enter via the link below - 1.3m ABC1 Muddy readers will know all about it if you reach the podium! The first entry is FREE and schools can enter as many of the categories as they like until 21 March 2024. Click the link below for the full rundown on categories, our INCREDIBLE judging panel, back for the third year (expert doesn't quite cover it) and download your entry form. https://lnkd.in/gw8iUkyr #education #schools #teaching #bestschools #schoolawards #independentschools #education #educationalcontent #educationconsultants #schoolmarketing #schooladmissions #schoollife #digitalpublishing #SEND #inclusivity #worldready #learningsupport #schoolsport #STEM #artsandculture

Few things excite Drew Hanlen more than watching those he works with turn their dreams into reality. Whether it is helping players directly or helping coaches and trainers get the most out of their players, it is what drives him. For over a decade, his dream was to create a basketball school that players and coaches at every level could trust. A place to learn basketball just like you learn math, science and social studies in school. Now that dream has become a reality. Tap here to enroll: https://hubs.li/Q02j1PXF0
