FBI Omaha is pleased to announce the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Midlands has been awarded the 2023 FBI Director’s Community Leadership Award (DCLA). FBI Omaha partners with the Clubs in after school and career programming. Thank you to President and CEO Richard Webb, and Jermaine Jones, Chief Scholarship and Outreach Officer, for giving me a tour of the North Omaha Club. The DCLA award acknowledges the achievements of those working to make a difference in their communities through the promotion of education and the prevention of crime and violence. Boys & Girls Clubs of the Midlands' mission is to inspire and enable all young people, to realize their full potential as productive, responsible, healthy, and caring members of society. The Clubs provide a fun and safe space for kids and teens during out-of-school time. It keeps kids engaged, active, and happy in the hours after school, during vacation periods, and throughout the summer months. The mission of FBI Omaha is to protect our community and uphold the Constitution. The Clubs’ success in minimizing the risks of youth violence through engagement, positive adult role models, and peers is a force multiplier in protecting our community.
