Just submitted - AHC's response to the Australian Treasury's Hydrogen Production Tax Incentive (HPTI) consultation paper provides our views to the Australian Government on the design of the $2/kg hydrogen incentive announced in May's Budget. Within the overall Future Made in Australia policy approach, the HPTI is a most welcome initiative that signals to Australian investors and the rest of the world that Australia is back in the game for attracting project investment, and the technology, capability and workforce opportunities that come with it. The announcement and funding of the HPTI signals the confidence of the Australian Government in the hydrogen and derivatives industries and provides a recognition that clean molecules and fuels will be needed if Australia is to achieve whole-of-economy decarbonisation. PNGRB is launching PNG drive scheme all across India from 26 th Jan to 31st March.This is a great step towards government vision of increasing share of NG in energy basket from 6% to 15%. Further my view is that all CGD entities must start campaign (through a common platform )for CNG as well, as a fuel for future. This can be a common platform Campaign like Mutual fund Campaign/Roj Ghayo Ande/Amul Dudh Pita hai India on social media/print media. This is need of the hour as all CGD entities has done/planned a massive infrastructure Capex plan in existing/upcoming GA. This campaign theme may be "सुरक्षित भी स्वच्छ भी सुलभ भी और पूरा भी". Further economics of efficiency is always in favour of CNG. In Present time seller/producer has to reach to Customer not the vice Versa. #greenenergy #naturalgas

Update (Feb. 15): the ALMM regulation is now suspended. While we expect similar market movements as we anticipated although less aggressively in terms of timeline, it will be interesting to observe how the market adapts and implements quick strategies. __________ That’s it! #India’s Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) imposes the Approved List of Models & Manufacturers (#ALMM) starting April 1st, 2024. While this policy does not affect all future power plants built in India, it concerns a large portion of them and it is a very strong signal that India is going ahead with its domestic manufacturing goals. Expect some short-term and other longer-lasting consequences. - Short-term: Indian buyers will order significant quantities of modules from China, yet not sufficient to affect the Chinese modules supply chain already at over capacity. - Longer-term: there will be stronger demand for India-made modules, possibly with a competition between buyers from India and the US. To be fully-competitive, India still needs an integrated PV value chain, at least from ingot to modules, while it has already gained in maturity in module manufacturing. It will be interesting to see the mid-term market adjustments. Pan African Resources PLC (AIM:PAF, OTCQX:PAFRY, JSE:PAN, OTCQX:PAFRF) outlined numerous advancements in safety performance, production and sustainability initiatives in an operational update for the half year ending 31 December 2023. The company reported an improvement in overall group safety performance, aligning with its commitment to the 'Zero Harm' goal, with total recordable injury frequency rate (TIFR) declining to 6.13 per million man hours from 8.54 in 2022. Pan African saw an increase in its #gold price received, reaching US$1961 per ounce, marking a 13.7% jump compared to the same period last year. In terms of production, #PanAfrican achieved gold production of 98,458 oz, a 6.7% increase relative to the previous reporting period. Coal is the largest emitter of energy-related carbon globally, with nearly 20 percent of total emissions (~7.2Gt) coming from nearly 2,000 coal fired power plants (CFPPs) in Asia alone. These plants are young, with an average age of less than 15 years. While various efforts are underway to encourage the early retirement of CFPPs, these are challenging to scale. The Monetary Authority of Singapore, together with McKinsey, has launched a working paper that explores an end-to-end approach to accelerate the early retirement of CFPPs financed by leveraging carbon credits. This paper was developed in close consultation with select Advisory Panel members from various organizations. While various efforts are underway to encourage the early retirement of CFPPs, these are currently neither economically feasible nor easily investable i.e. challenging to scale. The Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS), together with McKinsey & Company has launched a working paper that explores an end-to-end approach to accelerate the early retirement of CFPPs financed by leveraging carbon credits. This paper was developed in close consultation with notable Advisory Panel members from various organizations and countries. It is also accompanied with a set of ready-to-use transaction tools, in which the concept could mobilize the USD500B required to make this happen at scale in Asia.
