The UK is demonstrating a strong growth potential. Average revenue increases are forecast to be 21% during this financial year, while average headcount is expected to increase by a similar level (17%) according to Cebr forecasts for The Entrepreneur Economy. Given UK SME's account for 61% of existing employment in the UK according to government figures, this is significantly positive for the UK economy. The East is set to lead in growing the Entrepreneur Economy. Cebr’s forecasts suggest that the region’s GVA will grow by 9.5% between 2023 and 2028, more than any other region in our research. The Midlands, Scotland and the South East have also been identified in the report as key regions for growth.
