I'm not big on "lists" or beauty contests, but I'll admit that this one is cool. 🎉 Upsourced was named to the Inc. 5000 list this year. 🎉 Inc. 5000 is a different kind of list. You don’t win it by hiring a PR firm and getting your friends to nominate you. You earn it through results. Through hard work. Because this growing fast thing doesn’t just “happen.” It's a choice - a choice cosigned by a team of people who come to work every day excited by the prospect of more - more autonomy, more ownership, more expertise, and, let’s be real, more money. ;) But like anything, those things don’t come without trade-offs. Growing fast is hard work. The Inc. 5000, more than anything, is a recognition of hard work. We made the Inc5000 list for the 2nd year in a row! It feels good. It’s taken over a decade (an ‘under the radar’ path that is common for entrepreneurs). I started this journey in 2010, teaching free personal finance classes in downtown Atlanta. At that time, I didn’t believe there were many others that had deep conviction around leveling the financial literacy playing field - was I wrong! Our customers, partners, users, team members, competitors, vertical solution providers, legislators, bloggers -- they all care. We’re all part of a large ecosystem innovating to help the middle class with money. One of our ambitions for Murder Hornet and our model is to never have to lay anyone off that we don’t want to lay off. Ever. That means growing headcount very slowly and deliberately, not hiring permanently for a position we could easily freelance, hiring the 110% right person, making sure you have $$ in the bank to weather an account loss and not taking on investors driven by reaching a $$ number by the last day of every December. This is advertising, so I know I might one day regret this post. But there it is. #advertisingnews #marketing #advertising

Key observations include: Market Trends · Design teams are experiencing increased demand, particularly in the last 8 weeks · Growing opportunities in director-level roles and contract positions · A few more opportunities in User Research and Service Design Industry Shifts · AI transition is ongoing, with potential for significant growth in the coming year · Investors are more optimistic due to potential interest rate cuts · US election is boosting confidence in the VC market (depending which way it goes) Challenges for Design Leaders · Fewer leadership roles compared to overall design positions · High competition, with hundreds of applications for single positions · Recruitment processes struggling to handle increased volume of applicants Opportunities we are seeing at Futureheads Recruitment | B Corp™ and SyncD (A Futureheads | B Corp™ brand) · Increased demand for salespeople in product/tech businesses · Companies boosting marketing activities as buying signals improve · We are seeing some opportunities in volume hiring projects, including UX/Research/Service Design contracts While the market shows promise, design leaders face unique challenges in securing positions.
