Hello folks! NYS Office of Information Technology Services’s Chief Information Security Office has posted nearly 50 positions on statejobs.ny.gov - positions range from entry level (ITS 2/ Grade 18) to experienced (Manager of Information Technology Services 1 (info sec)/Grade 27). These are union positions, specifically NYS Public Employees Federation and as such the salaries are based on the contract between NYS and PEF. That’s non-negotiable and new employees will start at the bottom of the range for their grade. Despite that fact - we have other great union benefits if you’re a member (including tuition reimbursement, workshop reimbursement, licensing/certification reimbursement and more) and the amount of support you will receive if you become a team member with us is nothing short of wonderful. I can’t say enough great things about our leadership in ITS CISO and the expansion our teams are experiencing right now will make a major difference in our ability to ensure NYS continues an upward trajectory for cybersecurity.
