Today on the Smarticle Podcast we dive into a provocative discussion about the changing attitudes towards alcohol, especially among younger generations. We examine a recent study suggesting that even moderate drinking can be harmful to older adults, leading to debates about the social and health implications. We share their perspectives on the role of alcohol in social settings, the rise of non-alcoholic mocktails, and generational differences in drinking habits. We also touch on broader societal issues, such as the impact of social media on interpersonal relationships and the potential need for 'social lubricants' to foster deeper connections. Larry says that youngsters need to drink more. Drinking culture is so strong that trying to stop drinking or explaining to people why you don't drink is a challenge. People are almost suspicious of you if you don't drink. Imagine having to justify why you don't want to put poison in your body? Lets normalise not drinking, accepting when a response is "no". If we want our children to start making good choices we need to be setting good examples and having healthy conversations around drinking or not drinking. #soberlife #sobercurious #nottoday https://lnkd.in/gsiDyij8
