Imagine a world where we could see exactly how brands spent their money. How their teams were treated; where their products were manufactured, and how those workers were treated. Their carbon footprint, and step by step how they were planning to improve their flaws. Well we're moving in that direction faster than you may think. Transparency with stakeholders can be incredibly powerful; and we're seeing a rapid development in it's use in marketing campaigns across all industries. Traditionally as business leaders, we've been deeply uncomfortable with the idea of pulling back the curtains; but I'm now seeing examples on a daily basis of brands leaning in to radical transparency and it paying in dividends. Consumers are asking more questions than ever before; and the companies focused on short term profits for shareholders, will soon be scrambling to fix the ethical and environmental holes in their supply chains. One difficult, but increasingly worthwhile question to ask of your own business, or the company you work for is....How would you look if the curtains were pulled back?
