How sports teams can share stories about where they're from in a way that really connects with people? Take SSC Bari S.p.A. and Kappa, for example. They've done a new campaign to introduce the Third Special Edition Collection and that shows off their city. You can almost feel like you're there, whether it's by the sea or seeing a Fiat drive by. It's not only about capturing the club but also about the city. That feeling you get from these stories is what makes you care about a team. Whether you're from a big city or a smaller town, showing off what makes your city or town special is key. Most sports teams only talk about training and games. But being a fan is about more than that, right? What else makes you feel like you belong to a team and a place? By sharing these stories, you're giving your fans something to connect to. It could be a sense of pride in where they're from, or maybe even make them feel like they're part of something new where they want to go. Good job Kappa!

#throwbackthursday to London Toy Fair 2020! I've now totally lost count of the number of Toy Fair events I've been to, either in London or overseas. Each one has been completely different from the others, with new products, new publicity stunts, and new faces (and plenty of familiar faces too!) at every event. We old-timers know the drill.... stay hydrated, wear comfy shoes, prepare in advance, and stock up on energy bars! I'd love to hear advice from other seasoned #ToyFair professionals - what's the best advice you can offer for newbies at the show?

Starting a business is quite the ride! My latest adventure took me all the way to the Toy Fair in London. Despite waking up at 5am and braving the London rain, I wouldn't change a thing. Here's what I learnt: 1. Getting up early really does help. 2. It's great to bump into someone you know. 3. Just showing up can make a big difference. 4. Keep trying, even when it's tough. 5. It's not often that you get to use your skills as a one-time receptionist, trained actor AND content marketer all in one day. ☎🎭📰 Last month, I flew to the Chicago suburbs to help produce a case study video for my company, DCI Marketing, highlighting our partnership with Kia America. You can spot my star turn as Fake Receptionist in this video, but my real work was in pre-production and off-screen interviewing. 🎥 Here's what I did to prep for this and what I'll do differently for our next shoot: ✅ THIS TIME: Wrote a bank of questions for each interview subject and included "sample responses" for each of them that we shared ahead of time. ⏩ NEXT TIME: I'll also bring big cue cards in case people need visual prompts during the interviews. Some people liked having the talking points and others didn't need them, but it would have helped to visually cue people on the topics or phrases to hit in their responses. ✅ THIS TIME: Practiced asking the questions so I would be comfortable and familiar with them on shoot day. ⏩ NEXT TIME: I'll write two versions of every question and be prepared to pivot when the first question isn't prompting the interviewee the way we need. Sometimes a question makes sense to you but isn't as clear or expansive as it should be. ✅ THIS TIME: Took photos and worked with the production crew to shoot BTS footage (edited beautifully into the video below) to post on LinkedIn. ⏩ NEXT TIME: Think more comprehensively about capturing BTS footage and how we might use it in our marketing plan. This video will be for marketing our own services and products, but DCI also creates video for our clients. Showing more about our approach and who's behind the scenes could help us market our services better. It's been really fun to lean into B2B content marketing for my company, while still getting to work on B2C content marketing for our clients. We'll be sharing a lot more video of our work this year. 👀
