Imagine empowering our youth through genuine conversations??!!
Last year at our third annual golf tournament, we had a memorable encounter with one of our retired golfer participants, a gentleman who shared a humorous and enlightening story from his youth. Back in 1962, he started his first job as a box boy, and a mishap involving some beer in the back of the store left a lasting impression🙃. This story was especially impactful because he was sharing it with one of my students, a senior at the time, who is now heading to Arizona State University to study criminal justice this fall🙌. The genuine exchange between them was a perfect example of what we aim to achieve through these events: raw honesty and real connections!
Over the past five and a half years, working with 215 teens, I’ve discovered a significant challenge—nearly 💯 are intimidated by the idea of connecting and networking with local leaders. Consistently, this scores the lowest in their confidence levels. This fear hinders their growth and opportunities. However, I like to show them that most of us adults are just kids in grown-up bodies, and we are all here trying to figure this thang called life out a best as we can:). It’s amazing to witness the relief that forms within them and the hope that expands once they make these connections & have these conversations!
My mission is to bridge this gap by creating opportunities for youth to connect with business communities, regardless of the size of the business. These connections help them envision their future and understand the pathways to get there. For the business community, this is a chance to transform how you source talent. Let’s move beyond the awkward and unproductive methods of engagement and change the game up!
The war on talent is real, and as our community continues to grow, so does the need for a well-developed workforce. I’ve been a recruiter and am currently in the trenches seeing what the future workforce issues are, so I understand this pain firsthand. Together, we can transform this challenge into an opportunity!!
So, if you’re ready to drive change in a fun and impactful way, let’s collaborate. Let’s create meaningful, productive contributors and enjoy the process. If you’re in, let’s go!!!!

We’re beyond excited to recreate our Youth Empowerment Bingo this year and give of our future workforce a chance to build connections & confidence networking with our local leaders! Last time, we had 23 amazing teens at different holes, and this year, we’re aiming for 100! But we need your help to build the excitement and make this happen!🙌💪🫶
We’re calling on local business leaders from all industries to join us and connect directly with our teens. Your candid stories can make a real impact—let’s move beyond the typical advice and share authentic experiences. One of our BINGO questions is, “What was your first job?” We want honest answers that highlight REAL LIfE lessons learned and the journey taken.
Whether you’re a retired golfer or a 40-year-old millionaire, your story matters and will undeniably leave a lasting impression on our teens who aren’t used to connecting with leaders in this candid, fun-filled, eye-opening way. We appreciate everyone willing to share their experiences, even those that might seem a bit risque by today’s standards, showing how things evolve and change!
Join us by July 4th, so we can showcase the diverse group of leaders participating to the local schools in our community. This helps us inspire our local schools to get their students involved in this event and transform the empowerment offered at our tournament!
Let’s put Queen Creek on the map, not just as one of the fastest-growing cities in the nation, but as a community dedicated to intentional growth and empowerment of our future workforce. Our local employers are counting on us to help fill their talent needs, and together, we can build stronger, thriving communities.
Help us transform local teen lives—both now and in the future. Your involvement can make a tidal wave of change. 💼⛳️🌊🫶
