Women in vulnerable situations are facing challenges due to the high cost of living and basic essentials. Unfortunately, gaps in support, lack of adjustment in financial aid, and the time it takes to receive aid are only making it harder for them. It's crucial that businesses and individuals continue to offer support to help bridge this gap. #womenempowerment #financialaid #supportneeded
The dramatic rise in the cost of living has impacted all of us in some way, shape or form. But the worst of the impact is felt by the most vulnerable in our community -- women and children, most of whom are already in crisis. For many of these women, their primary concern isn't purchasing cheaper food, rather they're facing even more difficult decisions of leaving an unsafe home with nowhere to go or feeling as if they have to stay and risking their lives because they lack the means to leave. This month, we want to raise $150,000 so we can provide women and children at Nisa Homes with the opportunity to lead a safe and independent life and heal from their trauma. How can you help? 🔹 Donate to our LaunchGood campaign to help us reach our goal. Share the campaign with your family and friends as well! 🔹Take part in the #OvernightChallenge on October 20 by spending the night in your car to raise funds and awareness. 🔹Share your rental listing with us so we can work together to provide affordable housing options for Nisa Homes residents. To donate and learn how you can bring our women and children from crisis to comfort, visit: https://nhom.es/njzcKi #NisaHomes #WomensShelter #ShelterRelief #HousingCrisis #Homelessness #MuslimCharity #UrgentAppeal #FromCrisisToComfort #UrgentRelief

A talented and passionate Sales, Key Account and Business Development Manager looking for a new role.
DAY 50 Post reminder, two more to go 😀 Every 10 days of my challenge I post a quick reminder of what I'm doing, why I'm doing it and letting people know they can donate. It's day 50 of running 70 days straight to celebrate 70 years of the amazing work of the Samaritans and try raise a few quid in the process to help. Doing this post is poignant as without charities and organisation such as the Samaritans, I might not of being able to write this and sadly my story isn't rare. Each year 1 in 4 of us experience mental health challenges and sadly it's the biggest killer of those aged between 20-34 in the UK. In recent years incidences of mental ill health has risen due to material factors such as austerity, Covid -19 and the cost of living crisis. Every 10 seconds the Samaritans receives a call from somebody struggling, and without the 23,000 volunteers who answer these calls more lives would be lost. So much more needs to be done to address the way we approach mental health, the funding given to services to deal with the crisis, and the conditions leading to these issues. Until this is done, charities like the Samaritans are increasingly stretched and support far beyond their weight thanks to generous individuals who donate time, money and expertise. Therefore I am raising money to give back a lifeline that I know is so valuable to people, and their loved ones 💚 You can donate here.. https://lnkd.in/eREBJGVH

Saturdays (weekends) are for charity also 👇 If you're looking for impactful ways to help vulnerable children and families in your local community on weekends, here are four things you can do: 1. Volunteer your time, skills, or resources at local organizations. 3. Donate to organizations that work to support them. 4. Offer emotional support to families who are struggling. 5. Educate yourself and others about the issues to raise awareness. P.S. It's important to remember that every family is special and unique, no matter where they live or what challenges they may be facing. Whether it's poverty, substance use, food insecurity, trauma, or physical and mental health, many families in every community go through these struggles, and it can put them at risk of breaking down. Let's remember to do our best to support and uplift all families. When was the last time you made a difference by donating to a charity? Share your experience and inspire others to give back, too. Your story could be the catalyst for someone else's act of kindness. #childwelfare #vulnerablechildren #championingchildwelfare #childwelfareadvocate #charity #20daylinkedinchallenge #socialwork #sharetostir #orphans #childrightsexpert #policy #traumaintervention #familiyandchild #adoption #orphanage #careleaver #careleader #dalhousieuniversity #Godcanbetrusted #deborahdzifahtamakloe #livedexperience #newchalleneg #author #beyondtheorphanage #familybasedcare

Six applications have been received in the last four hours for direct financial assistance totaling $11,240 to help women + their children in current crisis. You may ask what kinds of crisis single mothers in our communities are facing every day. Here is a simple snapshot: 📌 Car repair needed to get her to her job 30 minutes away. (No transportation in her community outside of urban area.) 📌 Single mother of a newborn who was admitted for two weeks due to emergency medical situation who needs rent + utilities. 📌 Surgery scheduled, out of work for 6-8 weeks, and at risk of losing home. 📌 Survivor of intimate partner abuse, raising two children and seeking assistance for housing and basic needs. Please don't feel obligated, but if you'd like to choose to give where you can create direct impact to one of these women and her children, you can donate here: upliftingwomen.org/donate or Venmo: @RealUplift #directimpact #supportwithinreach #nonprofit #womenincrisis #womensupportingwomen

We need to do better
These are old numbers, way up since then - flandersfields.org/donate raised funds to mitigate some of the biggest contributing factors to these numbers: addiction, alcoholism, homelessness and “loss of purpose” in our veteran community. We provide safe and sober living, job training and placement, transportation, and so much more to recently sober vets - but we need your help. It runs us about $600/mo/veteran housed to keep things going, and fundraising has hit an all time low. Whether you can commit to $10/mo or $100/mo or a one time donation of $25 or more, we need YOUR help!

Myself and the team at Custom Credit are doing the Big Sleep Out 2023 to raise funds for Off The Fence Trust Limited and all the fantastic work they do to support the homeless in and around Brighton & Hove. We raised around £1500 last year and even in tough times for lots of people, hope to raise more this year, please help us achieve that! Rough sleeping has risen by more than 20% in the UK’s most affected locations, including Brighton & Hove, in the last year. That means help for homeless people is needed more than ever right now. The cost-of-living crisis is pushing more and more people into homelessness, with rising prices forcing people who have never slept rough before onto the streets for the first time. The ultimate impact is expressed through the tragic statistic that the number of unattended deaths on the streets of Brighton & Hove rose from 31 to 43 in 2022-3. Most of these were anonymous and unclaimed. The shocking average age of death for rough sleepers is 47 for men and 43 for women. Those truly are shocking statistics and that why me and my team want to raise money and awareness for this fantastic charity. https://lnkd.in/eMJMqXnf
