The more elements of events I help produce, the more I'm stunned that events aren't MORE expensive. Just the sheer amount of human labor and hours needed to pull it all off. Consider getting one trade show booth to a show. Packing. Shipping. Unloading. Set up. Strike. Packing. Shipping again. This is an industry where costs will always have a floor - under a certain point, it becomes impossible to host your show. I'm also starting to shift in my criticism of certain large "exclusive" providers after having managed logistics for a small-ish trade show. More thoughts to follow...
