Providing employees education and support around financial wellness should revolve around an “ecosystem” approach. This approach is centered around factors that are unique to each of your employees — their financial knowledge, cultural influences, socioeconomic status, mindset, overall physical health, where they live, and any other elements that may contribute to their overall financial well-being. 🏘 Acknowledging your employees’ unique experiences and lifestyles lets you take a more nuanced and tailored approach to identifying how you can best support their path to financial wellness. 🏃🏻♀️ ➡ Using Benefits for example. Do your employees who are new to the workforce understand the difference between an HMO/ PPO, if they should choose a high deductible plan, how to use an HSA, and how to invest in their 401k? Often times, the answer is no. If these employees aren't provided the proper education for understanding aspects of their benefits such as their health plan options, 401k, tax advantaged accounts for medical expenses, they are being deterred from their path to achieving financial wellness. #wellbeing #financialwellness #wellness #employeebenefits
