Effective communication between patients and medical professionals can be a daunting task albeit, an achievable one. To seamlessly achieve effective communication with our patients we must have P.E.F 📌 Patience Most times you might find patients doing the exact opposite of a clear instruction given to them, always understand they have alot running through their mind. Trust me they are not out to get you. Just be patient with them 📌 Empathy In order to understand your patient and communicate effectively with them, it's important you see things from their perspective. As a professional, this would entail "putting on their shoes" to see where it hurts.... I can hear you say "that's too many shoes to try on" 📌 Four Ears For communication to be effective, you should listen twice as much as you speak. I have kept them all over the years to fondly look back on, and use as character references (even as time passes and those families are no longer with us) ❤️❤️❤️
