U.S. State – Indiana What do you see? The Indianapolis Catacombs are an intriguing underground network of arches and tunnels beneath the City Market – offering a glimpse into the city's history and hosting various events. Over the next 50 days, I’ll be sharing a series of posters, each distilling the essence of a U.S. state into a minimalistic design. My goal is to strip away the unnecessary and focus on the core of what each state represents – to me. What do you think represents this state?

Those we work within the property and development sector (and some in our own historic environment sector) can find the concepts around 'significance' or 'special architectural or historic interest' of heritage assets quite difficult to interpret. It can be a grey area, prone to subjectivity, and it may change over time. Historic England has useful guidance for a range of subjects when assessing elements of the historic environment, and their latest guidance attempts to dig deeper into the particular issue of 'historic interest' of buildings. Would a typical inter-war semi in Liverpool meet the criteria for listing if not for it being the childhood home of John Lennon for example? https://lnkd.in/eP35tyZE
