Fascinating evening with Wendy Goffe presenting on Estate Planning for Modern Families. We discussed LGBTQ rights while traveling, planning for blended families, complications that can arise with IVF, the rise in couples who choose not get married, and planning for Polyamorous families. There is no one-size-fits-all estate plan (or financial plan), so make sure you are working with a planner who gets to know you and your goals. #estateplanning #modernfamilies #financialplanning

Remembering #WorldAIDSDay ❤️Reflecting on all those lost and the demonisation/pain of entire minority communities from the 1980s.❤️ 1️⃣Stigma has reduced significantly in high income countries but still remains an issue in different nations globally. 2️⃣HIV prevention and treatment has came along way since the first test was developed in mid 1980s. 3️⃣For a person living with HIV: Antiretroviral therapy with effectice adherence is 99% effective at reducing the risk of the virus being passed on: U-U undetectable~untransmittable. 4️⃣Someone living with HIV who uses on ARV and is undetectable lives as long as someone without HIV. 5️⃣For a person not living with HIV: PrEP or pre-exposure prophylaxis (an ARV medication) with effective adherence reduces the risk of them contracting HIV by up to 99%. 📢These are great advances but more work is needed in global equality to reduce HIV stigma that continues to affect minority communities.📢
Today’s #WorldAIDSDay, a day to spread awareness and to remember the lives of those we have lost. Over the course of the day, we’ll be sharing the work of incredible HIV-focussed organisations across our channels. ❤️ Sending our love to the LGBTQ+ community, as we continue to fight stigma.
