There is a vast body of research on the racism, discrimination and inequitable treatment faced by racialized staff. This attitude persists despite the efforts of diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives. As human resources professionals, it is part of our responsibility to guide the process of eradicating discrimination and prejudice, whether conscious or unconscious, and, in so doing, to encourage the inclusion of all employees. Acknowledging and celebrating employees' racial, ethnic and cultural backgrounds can be an effective way of reinforcing psychological safety and employee commitment. Celebrating Black History Month in the workplace is an excellent way to achieve this. Let's appreciate diversity, celebrate success and create an inclusive workplace! #BlackHistoryMonth #DiversityandInclusion #InclusiveWorkplace
