IES San Antonio's work culture, which highlights the value of people, family, excellence, and safety has been developed over a number of years. It's important that we recognize the individuals who first helped frame this culture infrastructure that has aided in IES San Antonio's success. Those people are (pictured left to right) Charlie Luensmann, Mike Yarbrough, and Brian Marr (right front). These are the stewards of a legacy. #POWERINGlegacy#wePOWERprogress#wePOWERsafety
Leading the movement in family businesses unlocking the potential to leverage their unique Values & Culture to drive sales, profit, attraction, retention and productivity. Coaching Leaders to create sustainable impact.
Your purpose, values and culture have the potential to be your USP but........
ONLY IF YOU WORK AT IT
😧 It's no good defining a set of values and then not linking those directly to the everyday culture in your business.
😧It's no good having a set of values that are no longer seen as relevant - to the market, your customers or your people.
✔ Your values and culture should be constantly on your radar in terms of development, embedding and checking for consistency across your whole business.
😀 This is why I am delighted to be hosting this session and showcasing some fabulous examples of great work being done by family businesses in this area.
If you'd like to learn more and understand how you can make your purpose, values and culture your USP then come along on March 20th Family Business United and find out more.
👉 And if you can't wait until then and want to start working on this TODAY then give me a call.

One of our four core values at Winona IT, LLC is to 'Act with Integrity and Respect'. The term integrity stems from the Latin word 'integritas', meaning wholeness and completeness.
I used to think acting with integrity meant telling the truth, but that's only a small part of it. We have to be honest in our dealings, transparent in our actions, and consistent in our values. We need to be committed to do the right thing even when it's not the easy choice. That's what's really meant by "making the situation whole".
Incorporating acting with integrity and respect into our professional lives can have many positive outcomes. It can really foster a culture of trust and accountability, enhance your reputation, and help build lasting relationships.
To sum it all up, Dr. Henry Cloud uses the example of a wake behind a boat. The boat represents you moving through your professional career. The one side of the wake represents results - we need to deliver on what is required of us. The other side of the wake represents the positive relationships we build and the people we touch along the way.
To operate with integrity is to emphasize the importance of both. As a leader I need to grow in and emphasize both to be the leader I want to be - full of integrity.
Daniella Levine CavaVeteran Housing Corp would ask three questions about the housing projects you support or are involved with:
1. How much funding, federal tax credits, or government benefits or incentives from all government sources did the projects receive?
2. What is the affordability period for each project?
3. What guarantees exist that tenants will not be displaced after the "affordability period expires?
Every local, state, and federal housing authority and affordable or workforce housing stakeholder should adopt the State of Vermont's "permanent affordability" policy as a model for all future government funded or subsidized housing projects or developments, no exceptions! https://lnkd.in/eFEUC8c8

There's nothing quite like the joy of witnessing our mentees thrive after our collaboration. Owen's journey is truly remarkable—he joined us with minimal knowledge about property, and we had the privilege of guiding him every step of the way.
Read his heartfelt testimonial below—we couldn't be prouder of his achievements! 🚀✨

I can’t tell you how many times I’ve heard phrases like “you’re so lucky to do what you do” and you’re very privileged to have a job like yours”.
No, no, no, no, no. If you’ve ever said this to someone working in the Culture and Heritage Sector, STOP IT! It’s hugely insulting.
We’ve worked very hard, made sacrifices, faced challenges (especially in the last 15 years) and above all, we are good at what we do. In short, if we are doing what we do, in a very competitive sector, it’s because we are good at it.
The “you’re lucky” and you’re privileged” view has systematically served to devalue the jobs we perform and their value to society.
So next time you talk to someone in the culture and heritage sector feel free to congraturle them on doing an important job or even tell them how much you admire or envy what they do, but don’t tell them they’re lucky or privileged.
If you want to learn more about how valuable culture and heritage is to both the economy and society then check out this report by Historic England:
