In a recent Newsweek feature, I discussed an alarming trend where 78% of employers are supposedly ready to swap young, vibrant talent for AI. This is a profoundly shortsighted, irresponsible, and dumb strategy. AI, for all its prowess, fails to capture the essence of human ingenuity and emotional intelligence. To that tech can replicate the nuanced, creative problem-solving or in the innate empathy of our newest workforce members is foolish. In the rush to automate, companies are overlooking a critical question: if human jobs are replaced by AI, who will have the purchasing power to afford their products? It's not unreasonable to think businesses are creating a paradox where technological advancements may lead to reduced economic engagement, especially when we don't have a suitable social safety net. #HumanvsAI #FutureofWork
