The green transition in the energy sector is not without its challenges, and the development of the Power-to-X in Denmark is no exception. PtX requires significant quantities of water so it is critical that the water is sourced and managed sustainably.   DHI recently hosted a seminar on this very topic together with Danish Export Association. It was encouraging to see and hear the many experts and professionals dedicated to finding solutions for water used for PtX. My colleagues Thor Danielsen and Anne Mette Holt contributed with insights and facilitation of the event, with many more of my colleagues at DHI being equally dedicated to supporting sustainable water for PtX. #PtX #greentransition #innovation #sustainability #research #water #groundwater #wastewater 

The environmental impacts of extractive waste are prevented through various environmental protection structures, which should function for a long time. The SMARTTEST project will develop a field-testing facility and concept, with which circular economy and extractive waste management solutions can be investigated in long-term field tests already during the mineral process development phase of a minec. The project will be implemented in connection with Outokumpu’s GTK Mintec mineral processing pilot plant and research laboratories. This is an exciting development. PUB's R&D facility in Tuas is set to complete this new facility which is plant capable of removing 10 metric tonnes of carbon dioxide from seawater and the atmosphere per day. This is more than 100 times the carbon dioxide removal rate of the current pilot plant in Singapore. The success of the pilot plant commissioned in 2023 helped define the pathway for the design and engineering of the new facility. The project team co-lead praised the pilot plant for providing critical performance data to substantiate their carbon dioxide-removal efficiencies, hydrogen-production rates and energy requirements for the process. This development is a significant step towards a more sustainable future. In Paris yesterday in the talks with the region, this was one of the important topics, the large possibility to recirculate resources that are being looped back and detoxified in the same process. A future circular economy will need to focous on resource efficiancy. EasyMining that are one of Ragn-Sells Group innovation companies has developed several simular of processes for other materialflows as well. Ragn-Sells future day will soon be broadcasted and it will focus on detoxification in a circular economy as well. Today I am in Brussels with EuRIC - The European Recycling Industries plastic sector bransch - focus on the potential to increase circular content targets when producing new plastic products.

CWP introduces new catalogues of solutions. The Catalan Water Partnership is a first level cluster that joins innovative companies and the best knowledge centres for sustainable water management. Catalonia is placed in the Western Mediterranean basin and, thus, water management is a concern for its inhabitants and public authorities. This is why the CWP got accredited as Cluster Management Excellence Gold Label and is a key member of the Water Europe network. Hydroo is a member of the cluster and proud to actively collaborate with it. Recently, the CWP has created a Catalogue of Digital Solutions to support the general use of digital technologies in the integral water cycle management. Additionally, a new Catalogue of solutions and services to fight the recurrent Mediterranean drought conditions appeared. Hydroo water technologies contribute to spread the high-end water solutions provided by our partner companies according to the main strategic axis of the CWP: shared value and cooperation, R&D&I, circular economy, industry 4.0, internationalization and business development worldwide. #hydroo #pumpingsolutions
