At The Seattle Public Library Green Lake Branch, we exposed the new structural steel and integrated it with the historic architecture to create a visual dialogue between old and new. We designed the comprehensive seismic upgrade to meet above-standard safety performance during an earthquake so the library can serve as a disaster relief center for the surrounding community.
