Although it would also vary in some cultures, But when we talk about global table manners then this is how it is! Remember, the container with more holes will have pepper and the container with fewer or one holes will always be for salt. Now you may ask why? 🤔 Well I’m sure you wouldn’t be happy if your food is over salty right? That’s the whole reason. ✅ To make sure you don’t end up putting a lot of salt by mistake in your food the holes are kept less, however, some people like to take a lot of pepper in their food and pepper wouldn’t ruin the taste so dusting a few more pepper is ok but not salt. 😊 Hence, the difference! So next time you visit a restaurant you’ll now know what to expect.
