Spare a moment ,as this is Amazing ! DACHSER currently has more than 90 zero-emission trucks on the roads across Europe. We’ve set ourselves ambitious targets: by the end of 2025, we want to establish DACHSER Emission-Free Delivery zones for non-refrigerated groupage consignments in at least 24 European cities.

Sustainable Logistics in Action: Duvenbeck Unternehmensgruppe Makes Final Round for the German Logistics Prize! Through a groundbreaking project with AUDI AG, the Duvenbeck Group is taking bold steps toward a greener, more efficient supply chain. Their innovative “Relay Zero Supply Chain” project cleverly combines truck and rail services to reduce emissions and boost productivity! Key highlights of this eco-focused achievement: • Rail as the Backbone – Audi’s rail-based system integrates truck trailers directly into the #logistics chain, thanks to Helrom’s patented loading technology. This minimizes the need for expensive terminals and streamlines delivery. • Decarbonizing from Start to Finish – The project reduces road travel by 185,000 kilometers every week, slashing CO2 emissions by up to 11,500 tonnes per year. Plus, biogenic fuels like HVO100 are used for initial and final deliveries! • Seamless Tracking – A digital control tower at Duvenbeck’s Niederaichbach site tracks every delivery across 500+ kilometers between Regensburg and Lébény, with a daily train carrying 36 trailers over this eco-efficient route. CEO hakan bicil proudly shared that climate protection and innovative partnerships are at the heart of Duvenbeck’s strategy. The project’s success reflects their commitment to decarbonizing logistics with Audi and Helrom. “Climate protection and sustainable transport solutions are fundamental elements in our corporate strategy. To reach these goals, we need innovative ideas such as those that we’ve introduced to supply factories with our partners, Audi and HELROM. Our excellent result in the final round of the German Logistics Prize shows us that we’re on the right track when it comes to decarbonising supply chains through combining our operations with other industries. The winners and finalists for the German Logistics Prize accepted the awards on Wednesday evening during the BVL Supply Chain CX sector event, which was organised by the German Logistics Association and held in Berlin." 𝟯 𝗙𝗮𝘀𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗜𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝘀 𝗜'𝘃𝗲 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗲𝗱 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗦𝘄𝗲𝗱𝗲𝗻’𝘀 𝗟𝗼𝗴𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗰𝘀 𝗜𝗻𝗱𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘆 🚛🇸🇪 Sweden is more than IKEA and Volvo, it’s also a leader in logistics and supply chain innovation! Since I arrived here, I've been fascinated by how the logistics industry works in Sweden, so here are 3 key insights I want to share with you that I believe everyone should know (even if some of them might be obvious): 1️⃣ 𝗦𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝗿𝗲♻️: Sweden is a global pioneer in green logistics. From electric trucks to biofuel-powered fleets and carbon-neutral warehouses, sustainability is at the heart of Swedish supply chains. One of the main reasons I decided to move here🙌 2️⃣ 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗰 𝗟𝗼𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻📍: Positioned as the gateway to Scandinavia, The Port of Gothenburg is their main port. Sweden offers excellent connectivity to European and global markets via its extensive railways, efficient ports, and well-maintained road networks. Roads here in Sweden are always under maintenance and many people complain about this💢 3️⃣ 𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗜𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗛𝘂𝗯🧑💻: Swedish logistics companies leverage cutting-edge technologies like AI and robotics to streamline operations, reduce costs, and improve efficiency. Sweden’s logistics industry sets a benchmark for innovation and sustainability in supply chain management, and I believe many other countries should follow this same pathway. Case study - DHL Express 🔍 Did you know that DHL Express #CityHub in Antwerp is largest and greenest DHL Express site in Belgium. The building is designed as one big last-mile machine with a smart flow of goods to and from the city, with particular attention to making logistics more sustainable. Like Blue Gate Antwerp, DHL Express uses #BREEAM certification as a benchmark for the sustainability and quality of its sites. At Blue Gate Antwerp they achieved an #Excellent score of 74,30%. #SUSTAINABILITY: First e-trucks go into service at #AustrianPost Austrian Post has put two Volvo Group FM Electric trucks into operation for the first time to transport international shipments between the Vienna-Inzersdorf logistics center and Vienna-Schwechat Airport. Two fast-charging stations for the trucks have also been installed at the Inzersdorf site and only green electricity from Austria is used for charging. “With the use of the two #etrucks, we are on the road electrically for the first time in transport #logistics,” explained Peter Umundum, chief parcel and logistics officer at Österreichische Post AG. “By using the new e-trucks and green electricity, we can replace two diesel vehicles and thus save around 117 tons of direct CO2 emissions per year.
