Our next opportunity has gone live! We are pleased to have published another opportunity on Contracts Finder in line with the schedule we had previously indicated https://lnkd.in/eWhFctye. Anchors and Moorings have been identified in the recent published Industrial Growth Plan, Supply Chain Capability Analysis, Celtic Sea Blue Print and Missing Middle as one the UK’s priorities. We agree, and are commissioning work which we hope will enable private sector collaborative activity with the potential to develop into technically credible and investible propositions addressing industrial scale Anchor and Mooring challenges in the Celtic Sea. The development of a “coalition of the willing”. Further details, background information and a link to the Invitation to Tender can be found on our Piranha platform https://lnkd.in/ev82r5fc. All the reports agree: Anchors and mooring is an area of real strength in the UK - and the need to build capacity for #FloatingOffshoreWind is clear. It's not more words we need though... it's pro-activity by our capable companies to work up solutions at scale. How to do so with no sign of a contract? This ITT from Celtic Sea Power, on our new #Piranha platform, is a practical step to prompt #CapacityBuilding for #FLOW in the #CelticSea - and export potential beyond.

The Build America, Buy America Act (BABA) created new domestic sourcing requirements for infrastructure projects funded through federal awards. Originally, implementation of BABA left grantees with a number of murky areas and many questions for their funding agencies. Now, with additional guidance and explanations, federal grantees have a clearer picture of what is and is not permitted under this legislation. Read more about the implications of the BABA Rule, BABA Notice, and OMB Memo M-24-02 for federal grantees’ infrastructure projects in Feldesman Partner Scott Sheffler’s in-depth analysis here: https://lnkd.in/ebCpBxsk #FeldesmanLeifer #Feldesman #federalgrants #BABA #infrastructure

Off-shore or not off-shore, that is the question. The TCC has recently clarified what counts as 'off-shore' for the purposes of the Construction Act. #constructionlaw #construction
The TCC has provided guidance as to whether work carried out in a tidal river was off-shore or part of the land. Read Joseph Hale and Jennifer Fitzmaurice's analysis of this recent development here: https://lnkd.in/emB72bCy #ConstructionAndEngineering

America’s Top State for Business, Virginia, is making strides in economic development with the announcement of $126 million in grants through the Virginia Business Ready Sites Program (VBRSP). Governor Glenn Youngkin recently awarded these grants to 23 sites across the Commonwealth. Administered by the Virginia Economic Development Partnership (VEDP), the VBRSP program collaborates with localities, utilities, and state agencies to enhance infrastructure and create operations-ready sites for potential employers and manufacturers looking to expand in Virginia. The VBRSP not only focuses on developing project-ready sites but also streamlines the construction process by securing permits and approvals. The program targets industrial sites with a minimum of 100 contiguous, developable acres or 50 acres in specific regions. This initiative aims to bolster economic growth by identifying, assessing, and enhancing sites conducive to business expansion.
