Reach out to past clients to ask questions like: 🔍 How’s the launch going? 🚀 What’s next in the pipeline? 🤝 How else can I help you succeed? Understanding the impact of your work is gold. We recently had a discovery meeting where the prospect described our services as ‘good value’. This got me thinking, what does a good value service look like? How can you be sure the service you’re being offered is worth the investment? So, I’m rounding up 3x key questions that you need to ask yourself when it comes to making that crucial decision of whether to proceed or not. 1. Does the service offered outline a clear roadmap to achieving your business goals? 2. Do you know who is facilitating the work for the service, do you trust their skillset? 3. Does the organisation have a good track record, 5 star reviews and positive feedback? Bonus points if the organisation has clearly outlined what contact touch points you can expect from them over the course of the partnership. There is one primary reason that our agency does not yield results for a client, or the relationship does not work: 𝘸𝘦 𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘴𝘦𝘦𝘯 𝘢𝘴 𝘢 𝘷𝘦𝘯𝘥𝘰𝘳 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘢 𝘱𝘢𝘳𝘵𝘯𝘦𝘳. In fact, it has become a big part of my business development and pitching process to confirm that the business understands that for the first 3 months, we require at least 8 hours of their time. Why? Because marketing is not just about pushing information out about your products and services. It's not just about a great design or fantastic copy. It's about building a community that engages with your business. In order to do that, our efforts on the marketing communications front needs to match the customer experience at point of sale. Otherwise, a disjointed customer experience can impact two very important things: 1. Repeat business 2. Reviews We need to ask questions, set up discovery calls with your Subject Matter Experts, get feedback, ensure the voice and identity actually matches what your new business will experience when making a purchase. That all relies on a feedback loop. And for us to be thought of a partner, not just a vendor. If you currently have an agency or freelance partner, how is that collaboration?
