In a world that often overlooks the unique needs and experiences of Black women, a groundbreaking network named Akina has emerged, pledging to be a beacon of empowerment, connection, and resources like AI. 🙌🏾 Launched with the promise of unlocking unparalleled access to leaders, social connections, vetted resources, and professional opportunities, Akina represents a pioneering step forward in the realm of community-as-a-service platforms. With the support of key partners like Official Black Wall Street, Akina stands out as not just a platform but a movement aimed at fostering sisterhood and providing the tools for Black female entrepreneurs, professionals, mothers, and more to thrive. Leigh Higginbotham Butler, the CEO and founder of Akina, expressed her motivation, stating, “The algorithms of existing networks and online communities weren’t serving women like me. Akina is revolutionizing how Black women are connected and resourced by providing an intersection between technology and community.” This sentiment reflects the gap in existing platforms to offer a space that truly uplifts Black women, making the launch of Akina a significant milestone for the 22 million Black women across the U.S. #akina #ai #communityfirst #communitygrowth #growthmindset #personalgrowth #blackfemaleentrepreneurs #blackfemaleentrepreneurship

🌟 **Celebrating Juneteenth: Empowering Black Women Founders in the Startup World** 🌟 As we commemorate Juneteenth at Sika Health with a day of reflection, let's consider its significance and how it intersects with the startup ecosystem. 🚀 🔹 **Juneteenth's Historical Impact** On June 19, 1865, enslaved African Americans in Galveston, Texas, learned of their freedom—two and a half years after the Emancipation Proclamation. Juneteenth symbolizes resilience, liberation, and the ongoing fight against systemic inequalities. For startups, it's more than a date; it's a call to action. 🌍 🔹 **Diversity and Inclusion** Founders, investors, and teams: embrace diversity! Diverse perspectives fuel innovation. McKinsey reports that companies with ethnic diversity outperform peers in profitability. Let's build teams that reflect the world we serve. 🌈 🔹 **Broadening Market Understanding** Cultural competence matters. Startups that understand diverse customer needs thrive. By appreciating African American history and culture, founders can tailor products and services to wider audiences. 🌎 🔹 **Social Responsibility** Startups are catalysts for change. Let's drive social justice, challenge norms, and uplift marginalized voices. Juneteenth reminds us to fight for equality and dismantle barriers. 💪 🔹 **Support Black Women Founders** This Juneteenth, let's spotlight Black women-led startups. They're shaping industries, solving problems, and creating impact. 🌟 #Juneteenth #StartupLife #InclusionMatters Let's celebrate progress, honor history, and create a more inclusive startup landscape! 🙌✨

𝐓𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝟗𝟔 𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐞𝐬 𝐟𝐞𝐰𝐞𝐫 𝐛𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐤 𝐰𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐧 𝐚𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐠 𝐔𝐒 𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐜𝐨𝐫𝐧 𝐟𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐧 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐔𝐒 𝐩𝐨𝐩𝐮𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 As we celebrate Black History Month in February, here’s a statistic everyone should reflect on: the percentage of black women among US unicorn founders is just 1 percent of what it should be, based on the proportion of black women in the overall US population. In our sample of 2,936 US identified unicorn founders, only 2 are black women: Toyin Ajayi, Cityblock Health, and Robyn Fenty, Savage X Fenty (you probably know Robyn by her stage name, Rihanna). This is 0.068% of all unicorn founders. Of the total US population of 333 million in 2022, 22 million, or 6.7%, are black women. 0.068% is almost exactly one-hundredth of 6.7%. My team and I hope that everyone—from entrepreneurs to investors to regulators—will take this statistics into account. #stanford #stanfordgsb #venturecapital #startups #innovation #technology #blackhistorymonth

🔥 Controversy Alert! 🔥 The recent federal court ruling last month requiring the Minority Business Development Agency (MBDA) to assist all racial groups, has ignited a debate about the agency's mission and purpose. ⚖️ While some argue that the ruling challenges the MBDA's original mandate of supporting minority-owned businesses, others see it as an opportunity to promote diversity and inclusion in entrepreneurship. Despite this legal setback, the MBDA is taking proactive steps to address funding shortfalls for women entrepreneurs of color. 🌟 Partnering with leading Black sororities and women's leadership organizations, such as the Divine Nine, the MBDA aims to empower Black female entrepreneurs and foster an environment of support and collaboration. 💪 Let's engage in constructive dialogue and advocate for equitable opportunities for BIPOC entrepreneurs! 🚀 👋 Connect, share, and join the conversation on amplifying Black women in business. I'm Not Here to Make You Comfortable - Unapologetic Black Female Leadership Pt 4 From silenced to amplified, the journey of Black women in startups is a testament to resilience and power. We've turned our 'loud' voices into megaphones for change and growth. Remember when they told us to be quiet? To soften our tone? Those days are over, sis. Our voices are the secret sauce to our million-dollar empires. Take Bozoma Saint John. She didn't climb to the C-suite by whispering. She brought her full, vibrant self to every boardroom, every decision, every campaign. That's the energy we're channeling. Or consider Arlan Hamilton, who built a venture capital fund from scratch while homeless. She didn't wait for an invitation to speak up. She created her own platform and used it to uplift others. Here's the truth: Your voice is your superpower. It's time to unleash it- 1. Own your narrative. Your story is gold. Tell it proudly. 2. Amplify other Black women. When we speak together, we're unstoppable. 3. Challenge the status quo. Your 'disruption' is long overdue innovation. 4. Speak your dreams into existence. Your words have power. Use them. Black women, our time is now. The world isn't ready for what we have to say, but that's not our problem. We're not here to make anyone comfortable. We're here to lead, to innovate, to dominate. Are you ready to amplify your voice and skyrocket your business to seven figures? It's time to step into your power and let your voice shake the industry. The world is waiting for what only you can bring. Let's turn up the volume on your success story together! Want to join a community of unapologetic Black women leaders who are changing the game? Comment 'Black Women Speak' below to secure your spot at our exclusive Sis In The 7-Figure Shift Speaker Event. It's time to take center stage and let your brilliance shine! #BlackWomenLead #UnapologeticSuccess #7FigureShift #SpeakUpSis
