ERP project failures don’t happen at go-live… They happen in the first 30 days of planning. I’ve seen it over and over again: → Deadlines set by boardrooms, not project realities. → Teams nodding along in meetings but resisting adoption quietly. → Leaders treating ERP as a tech rollout, not a business transformation. The result? ERP becomes a million-dollar bandaid on a gaping wound. Here’s what needs to change: 👉 Stop treating ERP as an IT project. If your IT team owns ERP without executive involvement, it’s already off track. 👉 Get uncomfortable in the planning phase. Alignment isn’t about polite meetings—it’s about hard conversations. 👉 Treat ‘go-live’ as the starting line, not the finish line. ERP adoption happens in months and years, not weeks. Most ERP failures aren’t accidental, they’re predictable. What’s one red flag you always look for before an ERP project kicks off? P.S. Follow me (Omar Soliman) for insights that tackle ERP’s biggest challenges head-on.
