⚡ Terrorism
⚡ Kidnap and ransom
⚡ Extortion
⚡ Malicious detention

These were all things concerning the freelance journalists we spoke to at the Frontline Club with the Rory Peck Trust.

Tragically, today we mourn the loss of Hamza Dahdouh, son of #journalist Wael Dahdouh, in an Isr@eli air strike. This incident underscores again and again a grave concern: the consistent failure of Isr@el to adhere to the laws of war and international treaties, amidst what appears to be a silent response from the #international community.
Such events compel us to reflect on the importance of upholding these #laws and demand a more vigilant international stance against the ongoing genocide, to protect those who risk their lives to report the #truth.
Based on initial reports by the Committee to Protect Journalists #CPJ as of January 6, 2024, at least 77 journalists and #media workers are among the over 23,000 individuals killed since the war began on October 7. This number includes over 22,000 P@lestinian deaths in G@za and the West Bank.
Today (2 September), the #PSC will convene its 1230th session focusing on the Protection of #Journalists and Access to Information in Situations of Armed Conflicts in Africa. Find more details on the session and expected outcome in our 'Insights on the PSC’ 👉 https://lnkd.in/eAEU4Z52
The General’s Lamentation Over The Hasty Release Of Terrorism Suspects.
In a bold move to stamp out terrorism from the Nigerian space, Terrorism (Prevention and Prohibition) Act 2022 was enacted. Section 3 (1) and 74 of the Act confer on the Attorney General of the Federation the authority to prosecute Terrorism suspects.
Since the Act does not provide for the procedure for trial and prosecution of offenses, a recourse therefore should be had to extant criminal procedure laws (see section 2 [1] of Administration of Criminal Justice Act, 2015).
Then, why the delay in prosecuting hordes of Terrorism suspects gallantly arrested by security agencies in Nigeria?
Power to Arrest without the Power to Prosecute

Press was a propaganda machine in its origin, they indoctrinated us to believe it's a pillar of democracy. We must realize the truth so that things start making sense. Similarly, democracy was not meant for people, but it was taught as such and we believed it. Try to research the relationship between European Kings and Banker Families where banker families realized how stable kings are threat to their existence. So, the propaganda started to change the governments time and again, but who really decided who would be the ruler, they were banker families or as we perceive capitalists. AIPAC is a living example. Had it been people in control, would Americans have allowed Gazan genocide, or Iraq, Afghan, Vietnam wars etc. People are only puppets in the hands of this evil of axis of Banking-Finance. Media indoctrinates people through propaganda and candidates are bought through money and thus some people decide who would be the ruler and what would be the policies in USA or Europe.
it's too much to digest, but that is the truth, whether you believe it or not. We all are indoctrinated knowingly or unknowingly and that too, too deep. We first need to liberate ourselves from slavery of our mind.

Renowned journalist Richard Medhurst @richardmedhurst has been detained at Heathrow Airport! Under the Terrorism Act, Section 12, he was arrested and held for nearly 24 hours, subjected to intense interrogation.
Shockingly, Medhurst is the first journalist ever to be apprehended under this provision. His gripping account of the incident is now available here - https://lnkd.in/gBZ86M3u

Women and children need to be fully protected during armed conflict situations. Further, children are not to be recruited or employed in armed conflicts. IHL provisions are specific and clear in this regard. This presentation would highlight the law in this regard.

He was forced to HIDE his identity to protect his job - but check out what a Border Patrol agent told CNN!!!
“Our hands are tied. If I don’t allow them to cross…I’ll lose my job.”
We need to have a national conversation about our leaders and the existential threat to America.

Policing Insight’s Andrew Staniforth looks at the recent successful operation by European law enforcement agencies working with colleagues in the US to take down multiple platforms used to disseminate terrorist propaganda, and explores the ongoing efforts of Europol to target those spreading terrorist content online.
❝The servers were used to disseminate worldwide propaganda and messages capable of inciting terrorism in at least 30 languages.❞
❝The EU IRU detects and investigates malicious content on the internet and in social media, and recognises that terrorist use of the internet and social media has increased enormously over the course of recent years.❞
❝These websites enable terrorist organisations and violent extremists to bypass the enhanced moderation and content removal efforts of mainstream online service providers, allowing them to maintain a persistent online presence.❞

Hostile Environment Training & Services
Due to our operational experience in potentially hostile environments, we are aware of the problems that can occur; not only the issues of terrorism but the threats from medical emergencies, petty crime, false arrest, kidnapping, blackmail, corruption and natural disasters etc. Anywhere can be a hostile environment if you are targeted by criminals or corrupt government officials @ https://lnkd.in/dW8WszQrAndrew Wilson#hostileenvironmenttraining#hostileenvironmentawarenesstraining#emergingmarkets#oilandgas#lawyer
